The Battle of Victory Road
Pikachu vs. Moltres
One stormy twilight, Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu were heading
towards Victory Road. Ash had
just won his Earthbadge, and wanted to challenge the Elite Four
straight away. However due to Ash
*great* direction skills the group was lost.
             "Great! Just great!"Misty frowned. "First you rush us here
and now you are lost! But what
really takes the cake is that its starting to rain."
"Well this wouldn't had happened if Brock brought the map."Ash said
glaring at Brock. Brock
mumbled something about Ash, and they all went off to look for the road
to Indigo Plateau.
             As they were looking for the right path, they passed by a
house and asked for instructions.
They were walking the totally wrong direction. They were heading right
to were they had started.
 Everyone was furious with Ash.
              As soon as they reached Victory Road, Pikachu started
running around like crazy. It
seemed he could sense something, something no one else could. 
 "Pikachu, what�s wrong?"Ash asked.
        "Maybe he�s worried,"Misty sighed, although she never admited
that she really cared.
"Pika pika pi!" shouted Pikachu, still running around. All of a sudden,
a war like scream was heard.
"Moltres!" The fire, flying Pokemon screamed as it emerged from it�s
nest. 
"No wander Pikachu is running around like crazy." Brock said."He was
trying to warn us of him."
"Wow, a legendary bird! I am going to catch it!"Ash shouted.
"Don't be stupid, to catch that creature you'll basically need a whole
army!"exlaimed Misty
"Pikachu, "said Ash in a confident voice. "I choose you."
"Pika pi, pika chu" Shouted the little Pokemon, as he jumped from Ash's
shoulder.
       "It is going to be a tough battle for the poor Pikachu to
win."comented Brock. "Good luck my
friend. If you need something from me, I'll be hidding behind those
bushes."          
"Brock..." chorused Ash and Misty.
"What?" said Brock. "I can't bare to see Pikachu lose...again."
"HE  WON'T LOSE!" answered Ash, at full volume.
       Meanwhile Moltres prepared his Fire-spin attack. "Mol tres!" it
shouted as the mystical bird
unleashed a huge flame of fire at our heroes. Misty took a pokeball
from her bag.
       "Starmie, go!"Misty shouted, while she tried to protect herself
from the heat."Water gun!
Extinguished the fire!" A ray of water squirted out of the star-like
Pokemon, to put out the flame.
        "Pikachu, Thunder!"Ash commanded. Sparks came out of Pikachu�s
cheeks, as he prepared his
attack. Moltres, angered by the battle, flapped it�s powerful wings as
he prepared a Sky Attack.
Pikachu in the meantime, released his electric attack, only to find out
that he missed. Moltres used
Sky Attack on Pikachu, hurting him really badly.
       "Pika pi.."mumbled Pikachu weakly. Moltres flied around them,
blazing flames of pride, and
left them with a big swish.
Brock asked Ash: "What did you say before the battle?"
"Oh, ya. Well everybody can make a little mistake."answered Ash.
"You mean a big mistake." Misty groaned.
"Maybe I am not ready for Indigo Plateau, yet."Ash said as he hung his
head low and headed back to
Viridian City, to the Pokecenter.
