Treason is a capital offence. Wether the girls commited it or not is
another matter. I doubt it though because that would be counter-productive

Only if they continue to hold power. What will probably give them
immunity from prosecution for their crimes is that nobody outside the
family will know what they did, and their parents won't have the will to
punish them. (Well, nobody except Pluto, and Pluto's insane.)
However, it is best that one does not concentrate on one's goal to the
extent that one loses track of the means by which one is getting there.
