You're not the first writer to try to do this, and probably, from

I have currently read up to Vol. 13 of the Viz
translated mangas and read unofficial translations for the rest of the
series.

It is also
shown in the manga that Ranma and Akane can actually talk in
a civilized
manner, how long they can let them last, however, is another story.

As the Ranma FAQ page says, Ranma and Akane are together most of the
time, without fighting.  There are a lot of one-panel opening scenes
in the manga which are all we see of their "real" life, which pretty
much always show the two peacefully together.

I agree. I did say they could act 'civilized' with each other (i.e. not
fighting) and I also know that such peaceful situations quickly
deteriorate for
one reason or another (usually by outside sources, but occasionally
because of
a wrong comment or an insult).

    B. Shampoo (or Xian Pu if you prefer)

The now-accepted romanization is "Shan Pu", which is the real
pinyin romanization of the hanzi characters given in the manga for
Shampoo's name.  Richard Lawson confessed on the FFML a while back that
his invention of "Xian Pu" was inadequately researched.

Shampoo has a jealousy streak that can at least rival Akane's,
but tends to strike out at her rivals instead of Ranma
himself.

Shampoo only attacked Akane once, in her initial appearance.  She has
a one-panel fight with Ukyou in the onsen race story.  She never fights
Kodachi.  The three team up to fight Hinako during the latter's intro
story, but their motives aren't consistent with what you say.  Shampoo,
Ukyou, and Kodachi originally attack Ranma, not Hinako, when they think
Ranma is putting moves on the latter (note that Akane refrains, btw).
Later, they confront Hinako and are drained.  Thereafter, they continue
to attack Hinako out of resentment that they've been beaten; Ranma as
the original cause of conflict is forgotten.

Don't forget the whole 'super soba' episode/story! Shampoo was
definitely
attacking Akane, although she quickly went on the run, but came back
once she
got some soba of her own. When I say 'strike out' I don't just mean
physical
violence though. Shampoo did keep Ranma away from Akane and the dojo
destroyer
for their 'date' even though she knew Akane couldn't handle him. She
also fed
Akane one of those kairaishi dumplings and had her 'too too passionate
hug to
all mans except Ranma!'. I really doubt Shamps would act this way unless
she
was jealous of how much attention Akane gets from Ranma, ne?

    C. Genma Saotome
        Genma is easily one of the most mis-interpreted characters in
the whole Ranma series.

??? Genma is usually portrayed exactly as you say, as a lazy, immoral
sleazeball.  What fanfics are you referring to?  Lawson's TIL?  (Lawson
is deliberately attempting to redeem _everyone_, including Genma, in
that story.)  There are any number of fanfics out there which are quite
savage to Genma:  "Nekophobia" and "Poison" (not Doehime's; the other
story with this title), for instance.

mostly I refer too some of the bet/alternate stories that appear when
the
change wasn't focused on Genma at all, but a radical personality change
takes
place. I'm sorry, but even if he made Ranma blind in one of the private
bets by
shade, I still can't believe him as a vicious child-beater (even though
the
change was officially a 'make Genma a complete idiot', I still wouldn't
tie
that with a habit of beating little kids also). I might remind you that
one
case where Genma DID help Ranma out was with the first fight with Kuno,
when he
knocked kuno off and ran off with Ranma to a shed to change back. He
also did
have a part time job in the beginnning, and he stood up to (sorta)
Happosai in
one of the first 'happy' stories in the manga when they get him 'angry'.
Despite all his faults, I honestly think Genma does have some redeeming
attributes, though they are very few.

In my opinion, the most consistently misinterpreted character in the
series in Nabiki.  Western fanfic writers usually portray Nabiki as a
savvy businesswoman, and often say that her petty scams support the family.
The anime material about controlling the betting at Furinkan with her
two henchwomen is often adopted without any thought.  In the manga, she
is a very solitary figure who fleeces people for money, but never spends
it.  There is no evidence that she supports the family; what evidence
exists says that she doesn't.  (It's more likely that Soun owns some
rental properties which he inherited.)  All of the Nabiki-as-businesswoman
interpretations are based on a single panel in one late story, where
she and Ranma are home alone, where Nabiki is shown running a mail order
business from home.

She also has 'some' kind of martial arts training. She was able to fend
off
both Happosai and copycat ken in that anime episode when Akane and
Kasumi both
couldn't. That one event really puzzles me when it comes to how high to
judge
Nabs's training level. =\
