Personal style comment: You're grossly over-using a few stock
descriptions. According to my count, you've got twenty-two 'nodded's,
sixteen smiles, thirteen shakes of the head, and nine 'blinked's. Try
for some variety. If all else fails, describe the action in more detail.
The Tatewaki-Kodachi thing comes abruptly out of the middle of nowhere.
Suggest either dropping it (if it's not important to the overall story)
or introducing it more gradually (if it is). Kuno's tears at the end of
the scene also come out of nowhere. Show us some of his thoughts and
feelings so we can understand where this comes from.
You did great with quote punctuation in the beginning, but started
goofing it up around the middle of the fic. Remember: "Dialog," verb. <-
only when the line of dialog is the object of the verb. "She told me to
stay put," he laughed is wrong because he's not laughing the words;
he's just laughing.
Oh, and after the last scene, I have to add.... Oh my God, they've
killed Katsy!!!
