This is more of a teaser than a fic. The explanation sounds like an
interesting idea, that I would like to see expanded into the story.

In darkness and despair, a single soul roamed. With a past that could
fill many a noble knights with pride and at the same time, a darker secret
laid hidden that would turn these same men into frightened little children.

Ashamed of his actions he left all those he held dear. Into the cold
cruel world he traveled. With tears that have long turned to vapor, this
lonely individual walked the Earth, wondering if She-Who-Gave-Life, Mother
Nature, had forsaken him also. Nowhere was he loved and wanted. For those
that remembered him, saw him as the demon himself. For they had offered
their home to him and he had turned around and betrayed them. Those that
did
not would soon learn and their actions would mirror those of the ones he
once
called friends. With an unknown trail and a bleak future as his own
companion, he walks into the future hoping to flee he misery had followed
him
in his youth.

As his travels take him from one part of the world to the other, the
wanderer soon started to find the ground more interesting than the scenery
around him for he knew that it would betray him soon enough. Each town he
came upon, a gloom would settle upon the people around him. With bitter
words and gestures, each city and town would vacate him from their homes,
away from their families and neighbors.

For he was Death reborn and the only ones that could have saved him he
had killed.

If you are wondering who this is, it's Ryouga. This tale was set at the
point where he received the invincible water/oil scribble on his belly from
the old man. Overjoyed Ryouga quickly sped off in search of his rival
Ranma
Saotome to finally defeat the cocky martial artist and prove to his love,
Akane that he was the only one for him. What he never realized was that
during his travels, Ryouga had caught a dead and very contagious form of
disease. Because of his training, the first couple of signs did not show
on
him until later. it was a stroke of luck that he got the water mark when
he
did, making him temporarily invinsible as long as the water mark was on his
stomach. Ryouga, not knowing this, started the dominoe effect that made
the
great plagues of the Middle Ages look like a mild cold.
