I think sama is correct in this context, certainly more so than dono.
This is because dono is almost purely a literaray word in modern
Japanese, so to use it in speech would be considered archaic.

Mind the gap

Hmmmm.... remember how old Ayeka really is.  If her ideas on what is
"lady-like" are somewhat archaic, it wouldn't be surprising if her
language was also a bit dated-sounding.
