    Part Three: Innocence Lost

    I'm too tired to think of a witty disclaimer. Never sleeping is a bad 
idea and I hate coffee. You know who everyone belongs to, and I apologise
if I piss you off. I mean the creators, not the readers. You made the 
mistake of reading this, now you can pay the price! HAHAHAHA!!

    Do you want the long or short version?

    The long? Okay.

    The Hero of Time, Link Hylia, has been travelling the multiverse since 
he banished Gannon to the Sacred Realm. Just over a week ago, he
arrived in Nerima and soon found himself involved in the madness that called 
the area home. He ended up staying at the Tendo Dojo. Things
were changing as Ranma told Ukyo he loved Akane, Kuno figured out Ranma's 
curse (Sort of) and Ryouga's curse was revealed to Akane. I
don't need to tell you how that went. Akane spoke to Ryouga later, and the 
lost boy realized his mistakes in blaming Ranma for everything. But
when Link saw him a few days later, Ryouga went insane, killing Link. Only 
with the aid of a bottled fairy was Link saved.

    Ryouga is now heading for Ranma, and is willing to kill anyone in the 
way.

    This is where the long and short version collide....

    It's about to hit the fan.

    Ranma looked out the window, trying to make sense of what the firefly 
said. Ryouga had killed Link and a fairy in a bottle brought him back to
life? It's fairly normal for around here. But what had set Ryouga off? Akane 
had said she'd sorted things out with him.

   He was shaken out of his thoughts by a bright glow coming from a few 
houses away. <Ryouga. When you don't want him around, he shows
up. 'If it can go wrong, it will.' Sometimes I think that Murphy guy was 
refering to me>.

    "He's here," He said to the others. "Navi, head to the Nekohanten and 
tell Cologne about Ryouga."

    "Admitting you need help Ranma?" Akane teased as Navi flew out the 
window. Ranma hated to admit it, even to himself, but usually he gets
in over his head. <Well, this time was going to be different. Akane may not 
be a great fighter, but she can distract Ryouga while I take him
down.>

    "Akane, this fight isn't a game. Over the past two years, most of the 
fights weren't important. But after what happened in China, I'm willing to
accept help with problems like these."

    "You think it's that bad?" Akane asked as she watched Ryouga approach.

    "Probably worse. Ryouga killed Link. If it wasn't for some of the stuff 
he's collected over the years, he'd be gone." I stepped up to the
windowsill. "I'll need your help on this one. Akane? Ucchan?"

    "I'm with you Ranma."

    "Same here Ranma."He couldn't help but be surprised at that. He did yell 
at her last week, but she'd been calling him Ranchan all her life.

    "Call me Ranchan. After all, we're still friends, right?" Ukyo nodded.

    "I wanna help!" Everyone looked at Ms Hinako. The little girl was 
jumping up and down, her coins spilling across the floor. Ranma nodded,
and they leapt down to face Ryouga.

    As soon as he saw them, Ryouga began firing ki-blasts in every 
direction, trying to take them all down. Ms Hinako just absorbed anything
that came her way, and had quickly changed to adult form. Ukyo's spatulas 
were blasted into scrap metal long before they reached their target.
Akane was useless, as she couldn't get close to Ryouga to mallet him. Ranma? 
He just ducked and weaved. The number of blasts were stopping
him from moving in a spiral pattern, so he simply fired off a few Mouko 
Takabishas. However, most of them were dispelled by Ryouga's larger
blasts.

    At last one of Ranma's shots managed to hit Ryouga, knocking him off 
balance long enough for a few spatulas to dig into his arm . As
Ryouga aimed at Ukyo, Akane slammed her mallet into the back of his head 
while Ranma landed several dozen blows to his stomach. Ryouga
backhanded Akane, knocking her out, and swung at his mortal foe with his 
umbrella. He stepped back , but Ryouga kicked him in the stomach
and sent him sprawling across the ground.

    He lay on the ground, clutching at his stomach. <Ryouga has always been 
strong, but compared to the power of that one punch all of the
times he's hit me in the past were nothing!>

    "Shishi Houkodan!" The blast flew towards Ranma, and he knew that he 
wouldn't be able to dodge in time. He closed his eyes and braced
himself.

    The blow never came. When Ranma opened his eyes, saw Ms Hinako standing 
between him and Ryouga, absorbing the blast. After almost
ten seconds the blast was gone, taken into the teachers body. "Yay, I saved 
you," she said weakly before she collapsed. Ryouga began to walk
towards them but was knocked back by a staff slamming into the side of his 
head. He slid for thirty meters before coming to a stop.

    The Amazons had entered the battle. Cologne ordered Mousse and Shampoo 
to keep Ryouga busy and then knelt down next to Ms Hinako.
She took one look at the woman and began swearing in several different 
languages. "What's wrong?" Ranma asked her.

    "She's dying. She can absorb a lot of ki, but she has limits." Cologne 
bit her lip. "If she doesn't release it soon, she'll burn from the inside
out." She got no further as Shampoo and Mousse slammed into the ground 
unconscious.

    "Keep him busy," Ranma ordered her. "I've got an idea." The Old Ghoul 
nodded and attacked, leaping over Ryouga and tapping the ground
with a finger.  It exploded in a cloud of razor sharp shrapnel that got 
Ryouga's attention. He spun around and lunged at the Amazon Elder.
Cologne dodged and attacked, her punches and kicks seemingly ineffective. 
The few blows Ryouga got in were much stronger then what they
should be.

    Cologne realised that she was in trouble. Ryouga's power was increasing 
at an incredible rate. While not much faster, his strength had
increased a hundred fold.

    Then she remembered the words from the scroll she had read the night 
before.
                                   A friend's secret makes him an enemy,
                                       His hate gives him power.
                                When the storm is summoned, death shall 
follow,
                                      Summoned by insanities touch.

    For the first time in over a hundred years, she knew Death was watching. 
<I'm not going down without a fight!> she thought as she jabbed at
a number of pressure points before leaping back and deciding that they were 
having no effect at all.

    Ranma was too busy pulling off one of the most insane tricks he has ever 
pulled to pay attention. He placed his hands on her forehead
(Akane would pound him if he placed them anywhere else) and reached out for 
all the ki she had built up. She had been trying to get rid of it,
even when she was out of it, because the ki just surged into Ranma as fast 
as it could. The power was rolling through him, filling his body. And
at the same time there was this wave of depression and hate, almost 
overcoming him. Ranma managed to push them back, telling himself those
feelings wern't his. After a few seconds he gained control of all the ki, 
and stood to face Ryouga.

    "YO P-CHAN!!" Ranma's voice could be heard across the battle field. Both 
fighters turned to the sound of the voice.

    Ranma stood there, his aura blazing with Ryouga's ki. Cologne figured it 
out and leapt behind a palm tree. "You like throwing your ki around
so much?" the pig-tailed martial artist yelled. "Well you can take it back!" 
He raised his arms, and a wave of ki slammed into Ryouga, making it
impossible to see him.

    Unnoticed by anyone, Hiroshi ran across the school grounds, picked up Ms 
Hinako, and bolted in the direction of Dr. Tofu's.

    When Ranma could see again, he realised just how much trouble he was in. 
Ryouga was still standing, completly unharmed by the blast.
"Too bad Ranma, you're not good enough. And this time you won't survive for 
a rematch!" Suddenly a beam of golden energy came out of
nowhere, slammed into Ryouga and sent him flying through the school wall 
before any of us had the chance to move.

    Link stood on a nearby roof-top, wearing a suit of silver armor  that 
glittered in the morning sun. In his hands he held a rather nasty looking
gun, it's barrel still smoking. "Try anything stupid Ryouga," he said, "and 
I'll adjust the setting on this baby from low to high."

    "But, I killed you!" Ryouga looked surprised. Understandable when you 
think about it.

    Link growled. "That you did. And now I'll return the favor!" He fired 
the gun again. This time the energy was dispersed by Ryouga's
umbrella. Link adjusted a setting on the weapon then fired once more. This 
blast was too powerful, and Ryouga's umbrella was knocked out of
his hand. Link didn't give him a chance to recover, firing a few more times, 
sending the Lost Boy sprawling across the ground. Ryouga waved
his hand in Link's general direction, and a large number of ki-spheres 
bombarded the area.

    Ranma used the chance to fire a Mouko Takabisha into Ryouga's exposed 
back, giving Link time to shoot him several more times and
longshot to safety.  He then placed the gun in it's holster. "Let's finish 
this!" He pulled out his Ocarina and placed it to his lips. Soon the music
could be heard across the battle field. Ranma remembered it from when Link 
had played it a few days ago. The song of storms. Sure enough, the
rain began to fall, lightly at first, but soon it became a true storm, 
lightning seen in the distance.

    Ranma couldn't help but smirk as he felt the curse take effect and her 
female form appear. She went to kick P-chan into orbit.... and was
greeted by Ryouga's fist in her face.

    "His ki's heating up the water before it touches him," Link muttered to 
himself. "Shit. Guess we'll have to do this the hard way." He drew his
sword and Ryouga picked up his umbrella. In one swift move he twisted the 
handle and pulled it off, revealing a very shiny sword.  Then they
charged each other, their swords clashing in a shower of sparks. They 
circled each other, Link using the extra length of his to inflict a few
wounds on Ryouga. Ryouga on the other hand wasn't even bothering with any 
kind of defense, and was simply hacking and slashing out of
pure rage. At the rate it was going Link was going to be in little pieces, 
and soon.

    Sure enough, Links sword was knocked out of his grip and landed between 
Ranma's legs. For the first time in he life, she was glad she went to
Jusenkyo.

    Link moved once more, and in a flash of golden light, Ryouga's sword was 
sliced in two. Link leapt to his feet, holding what looked like a
lightsaber! (Authors Note: The weapon in question is called a Lightsword, 
and is a weapon in Ultima I and II. And yes, I have seen the new Star
Wars movie.) Link and Ranma-chan moved into the attack once more, Link in 
close, Ranma-chan sniping at him with ki-blasts. Ukyo circled at a
distance, waiting for an opening.

Nearby, Akane was helped to her feet by Cologne. "We have to stop Ryouga," 
she told the young woman, "or you won't get a chance for a real
wedding with Ranma."

    "What?"

    Cologne smiled. "I've been determined to have Ranma marry Shampoo, but 
it doesn't mean I'm going to fight for a lost cause. I know how you
two feel for each other." Akane was shocked into silence.

    Suddenly a blast of lightning slammed into the ground in front of 
Ryouga, throwing him back through a wall. He turned to face his new foe,
who was standing a short distance away.

    He was around the same age as most of the Neriman martial artists, with 
long black hair tied back in a ponytail. He wore a pair of jeans, a shirt
and jacket. Next to him stood a Wartortle and Hitmonchan, while a Voltorb 
floated nearby. "Who are you?" Ryouga demanded.

    "The name's Kaji Ryouji," the youth replied. "You won't kill any one 
else today, Ryouga Hibiki." Hearing those words, Ryouga looked
around, but didn't see anything.

    "What do you mean by that?"

    "I came to Nerima to take a break from Pokemon fighting. As soon as I 
get off the bus, a group of people run past screaming about how
Hibiki's gone insane and is killing people." His hands clentched into fists. 
"I know it's true, because they were carrying bodies. I checked, it
seems your Breaking Point hit them with shrapnel. Well it ends now! 
Hitmonchan, use mimic! Wartortle, Water Gun! Voltorb, Thundershock!
Haunter, Nightshade!"

    Ryouga was covered by a wave of dark energy as the Haunter appeared 
behind him and attacked. Voltotb flew forward, his round form
crackling with energy. Hitmonchan closed his eyes and concentrated, the 
knowledge of one of Ryouga's attacks appearing in his mind.
Wartortle simply shot a wave of water at Ryouga.

    Ryouga fell to his knees under the attack, before his spun around. 
"Shishi Houkodan!" he yelled, and the ki-blast shot out. While he was
distracted Ranma-chan elbowed him in the side of the head and Link left a 
large gash on his arm, thanks to the Lightsword. Cologne threw her
staff like a spear at Ryouga's shot in a desperate attempt to stop it....

    .... which failed. Haunter didn't even have time to scream before his 
spirit was destroyed. Kaji gasped and scanned the area with his Pokedex.
It gave the simple words; Pokemon Lost. Kaji had never seen those words on 
the Pokedex before, but he knew what they meant. So did the
others.

    "VOLT!!" Another bolt of lightning hit, mising Ryouga, but the shock 
wave from the thunder was enough to knock him off his feet. He fired
another shot, but Link intercepted it, deflecting it up into the sky. 
Hitmonchan and Ranma-chan moved into close combat, their comet punches
and amaguriken forcing him back.  Cologne, Ukyo and Akane sniped from a 
distance, Akane using some of Ukyo's spatulas. Wartortle fired
another stream of water,  knocking him back. For a brief second, there was a 
pig there instead of a human, but the moment passed and Ryouga
was back.

    "ENOUGH!!" Ryouga knocked Hitmonchan and Ranma-chan away. Both of them 
were out cold when they hit the ground. He kicked Voltorb,
sending the electric pokemon into the school. He went for a low kick with 
Link, knocking the elf off his feet. The Lightsword landed at Ryouga's
feet, now inactive. He picked it up and turned it on, it's golden glow 
lighting up the area around him. Link rolled away, towards Kaji.

    <5...4...3...2...1...NOW!>

    The Lightsword sent a energy pulse along it's hilt, burning all the skin 
and flesh off Ryouga's palm. He yelped in pain and dropped it. "Never
touch other people's property Ryouga," Link taunted.

    "Why you! Shishi Houkodan!"

    Link held a hand out in front of him. <This had better work!> he told 
himself. "Nayru's Love Revised! Divine Protection!" A blue wall of
energy spread out from his palm and blocked the blast. Ryouga swore and 
fired a few more shots. Link gritted his teeth as the strain began to
show. "Kaji, got anything that will get his attention long enough for us to 
find somewhere a bit safer? I won't be able to hold this for much
longer."

    Kaji grinned. "Maybe. Give me a minute."

    "You've got thirty seconds, make 'em count!"

    "Wartortle, Mega Punch!"

    Ryouga looked to the side when a voice cried "War!" and was just in time 
to recieve a punch to the face that would give Eva Unit-01 a
headache. He simply shook it off and knocked the turtle away. By the time he 
had turned back, Kaji and Link had vanished. He scowled, then
grinned as he saw Ranma-chan's prone form.

    Behind the wall, Link slumped to the ground in pain. "I.. think he broke 
my... ribs," he said over the pain.

    "Which ones?" Navi asked as she floated beside him.

    "All of them. And where the hell have you been?!"

    "Scanning him. Link, there's something familiar about his aura-"

    "Yeah, he's crazy and he wants to kill Ranma," Link interupted. Then he 
remembered. Ranma was out there on her own! He leapt over the
fence and leapt onto Ranma's back, throwing both of them to the ground. 
"Sorry asshole, but you're not killing Ranma, ever!"

    "He must die! You have no idea of how I have suffered because of him!"

    "You're right, I have no idea." His fist smashed into Ryouga's ribs, 
making a satisfying crack. "And I don't care!" he yelled as his foot
shattered Ryouga's nose.

    "YAAAGH! GETITOFF!!" a female voice screamed. Link turned to see 
Ranma-chan screaming as a cat held onto it's arm. Ryouga used the
chance to throw the elf off him.

    "Time to die Ranmurk!" he got no futher as Ranma-chan leapt on him, 
growling with what could be considered anger. Everyone else bar Kaji
and Link fell back.

    Ranma had gone into the Neko-ken.

    "Get out of there!" Cologne yelled, leaping up onto a roof. "If you stay 
you'll die!" Kaji recalled his Pokemon and dragged Link away.

    Ryouga threw a punch at Ranma-neko, but she dodged and slashed at him 
with her ki-claws. Instantly Ryouga's stomach was sliced open,
and he found himself trying to keep his insides inside his body. He was 
forced back into the school, followed by Ranma-neko. All was quiet.
Voltorb bounced out, muttering different parts of his name.

    Then the school exploded, a beam of ki shooting into the sky. Everyone 
shielded themselves from the blast.

    "RANMA!!" Akane screamed, no-one hearing her over the explosion.
