To a degree. It's one of the reasons I mentioned both his and Bob Barnes's
work at the start. Those are both the direct inspirations for this, and I
wanted to give them the credit they deserve. Otherwise I would not have
come up with this particular fic. I tried giving more detail in the
unlikely situations than Gary's, (although I still could not top the
Nodoka/Principal Kunou bit ^_^) and it's more all encompassing than
Barnes's, but it borrows very heavily from both.

I personally would have
wanted him to be associated with no one, being someone
who is manipulating everyone for either good or bad
purpose. For the former, maybe a prophet of sorts to
insure that future would be better somehow by his
existance? For the latter, perhaps a devil posing as a
human to spread dangerous chaos that is barely
disguised as a comedy? Just a thought that occured to
me while reading it.

Interesting idea. I would never have thought of something like that
myself.
