yeah, i'm major unsatisfied with the ending myself, but
figured i'd throw it out to the ML in case someone had some
specific ideas.

right now i'm concentrating on Featherbrite's, also the Kuno
Gets Lucky story, plus a plotline dealing with Grey's trial
to get off demonic status.

i was on hold for over 45min today with an insurance company
and came up with some ideas that i don't think i've ever
seen done, and wanted to see if anyone else had seen them
before i add a fic to my "to do" stack...

With the "Mushroom Temple" story arc, switching Tatewaki
with Kodachi. Kodachi and Soun are the recipients of the
"forever love" mushrooms.
       just imagine the horror of Akane having to call
Kodachi "mom"...

Prince comes to kidnap his bride, and takes Kasumi.
Naturally, this threat to their food supply rouses Ranma to
go to the rescue. Why not Kasumi? Would she want to come
back? Would anyone else go after Kasumi or would Soun just
start bawling and planning the wedding?

Alternatively, the prince/princess comes and captures Ranma
and it is up to Akane to save him. (i'd think she'd sulk
about how he brought it on himself, in the meantime Ukyou
and Shampoo would race off to be the one to rescue Ranma.)

A rival with a grudge from the past comes to avenge the
insult done him/her ten years ago. To challenge and defeat-
Nabiki Tendo. Tell me the canon Nabiki couldn't have major
league offended someone who'd come back for vengeance...

Azusa Shiratori + Tsubasa Kurenai. A match made with
Heaven's Blessings. What amazes me is that this could truly
be a perfect couple...

Azusa finds a wishing ring/sword/other magical item of
power.  What horrors would Azusa wish for? The ability to
turn anything she touched into something small and cute?
<shudder>

Tarou gets a curse to hit Happosai with that causes all
feminine garments that the "Old Lech" fondles to
disintegrate. Happi jumping onto Ranma's chest, but his
clothes are unisex. Jumping onto Akane's chest leaves Akane
topless...  if during school, this could be a very
interesting scene.

Mousse runs into Miss Hinako and Principal Kuno in the same
afternoon. For that matter did these two ever go after the
Amazons? (long haired delinquents?)

add the concept i've sent out a couple times, still think
it's nasty enough someone should do it.

Akane does something out of the ordinary mean to Shampoo.
Maybe she's upset about Kodachi marrying her daddy. Maybe
she did it unintentionally, maybe she was just joking (say
she locked Shampoo's cat form in a travel cage to get her
out of her hair for awhile, joking about getting the kitty
"fixed.")

Shampoo used two formulas of special shampoo, then the Xi
Fang Gao. She expertly applied makeup, styled the now-longer
hair, changed her victim's clothes, and then admired the
changes in Akane's appearance.

  Setting the dazed girl out, Shampoo watched as Mousse
rushed forward and glomped the false Shampoo.

"Shampoo!" <GLOMP!>

"Shampoo?" Akane fingered her hair. She felt so...
refreshed! "My name is Shampoo? Who are you?"

"I'm your boyfriend Mousse, Shampoo, don't you know me?"

"Oh," Akane considered that. It did sound kind of familiar.
"MOUSSE NO BAKA!" <WHAM!>

Mousse groaned from under the mallet. "So you *do* remember
me, Shampoo?"

Akane nodded. "Of course, silly. You're my boyfriend Mousse.
Just don't grab me like that."

We can see this, can't we? Or maybe just setting an
unconcious Akane into a boat with Ryouga and setting the two
adrift... i don't really see Shampoo as a killer, though she
talks a good murder. Get her sufficiently ticked, though, i
can picture her getting crafty and mean.

By the by; Kara Zor-El was supposed to near anorexic in
appearance, you were thinking of  Kara Zor-L, Powergirl or
maybe that was the result of the older girl curse combining
with the new. ( picky aren't I ) Supergirl was supposed to
have suffered some permanent damage from the Kryptonite
radiation on Argo City, so she couldn't permanently move
into a red sun environment nor grow as much as Powergirl. (
more picky )

For the record, there was a red haired Supergirl in the
fifties, who had the powers and heart of Superman
duplicated. She was created (apparently) by Jimmy Olsen
wishing Superman had a helper with his powers and heroism.

A

Supergirl with red hair and a green and yellow costume with
a pleated skirt appeared. She was overdosed with Kryptonite
and asked Jimmy to cancel his wish, she then disappeared.
What if she where created by modifying the Drowned Girl
curse to Drowned Supergirl and someone who had fallen in

the

spring was transferred to Jimmy and her memories removed.
Then when the wish was canceled, she was returned to
Jhusenkyo and her memories restored, might even have been
Ranma if time travel were involved.
She actually fit the rest of your description quite

closely.

you would lose the
memories of Argo City but get Ranma-chan as a red head, who
remembers dying.

If I were going to do this. I would have dropped the angst
level and just had Ranma move out and go to another town,
say Graviton City. He could meet
A-Ko and her  mom and dad. Who might recognize her, and
certainly would try to inspire her and train her to be a
crime-fighter, now add B-ko and C-ko and Ranma's usual
degree of Chaos. Pity poor Graviton city, as the newest
crime fighters show up, then Genma and Soun move the Dojo

to

try to force Ranma to marry a Tendo. Perhaps with a
different environment, Soun could settle down a little
emotionally. Then Shampoo and Cologne show up and meet
A-Ko's mom, Wonder Woman, and we have different amazon
tribes and laws getting involved.

Your Omake made me think of a crossover/ fusion

possibility

or two. What If Riverdale High School had a field trip to
Quanghi Province in China, and Archie fell in the spring of
the Drowned Ranma (or Ranma-Chan) and Reggie in the spring
of the Drowned Ryoga or (Ryoga -Chan)

Alternately What If they had a field trip to Nerima.

Anybody

what to picture greedy trickster; Jughead with Nabiki or
Betty meeting Kasumi?
How about Archie studying Anything Goes at the Tendo Dojo.
Mr. Lodge deciding it would help him be less clumsy and
accident prone and inviting the Nerima gang to Riverdale

for

the summer?
