<Shrug>  Yes, Ranma will put his legendary detective work skills to work.
Somehow that doesn't strike me as a problem for the story.  The whole business
could easily be over, one way or t'other before Ranma shows up to save the
day.  

After all the hunter is surely not worse than Safron and

cie...  And with
Akane in danger...   And dont forget Nabiki with her gatering of info on
the stat of past hunt.

Nabiki is not a goddess.  She's a high-school student with a knack for 
chiseling and a slightly cruel sense of humour.  Omniscience is not 
numbered among her attributes.   

PS: Try Tsubasa.  That is a hunt not easy.  As long as he dont display a
tree who dont exist

Tsubasa would win far too easily.
