None of them could speak her language, and I doubt that any of them
ever got near her. (Species that have a queen don't survive very long if
they let potentially hostile aliens get near her.)
Which of course is why they took Jinnai straight to the top.

THAT'S what happened? I didn't realize...... I thought that the El-Hazardians
and Makoto & Co both spoke the same language in one of those convenient
little coincidences that always crops up in cross-dimensional plots, and that
Jinnai made it to Deva's lair because if he hadn't there'd be no story. Then
again, I watched the dubs. Maybe the language thingy is clearer in the subs.
Although I doubt it. Pioneer does NOT know how to sub.
