Sorry to bother everyone, I'll keep it brief.

        This idea goes along the lines of The Most Dangerous Game, the
author escapes me. An immensely wealthy Japanese industrialist is rather fed
up with the regulations on hunting imposed by the Japanese government.

        He owns an island off the western coast of South America, where he
can hunt to his heart's content. However, he is bored with hunting the local
wildlife, none of them can give him a truly satisfying hunt.
        He finally started to hunt the most cunning of God's creatures; man.
He would bring in promsing quarry from all over Japan, guaranteeing them
riches, not to mention their freedom and lives, if they can survive 24
hours. Nobody has yet managed to do it.
        Said industrialist is always on the lookout for new prey, and turns
his gaze to Nerima.

        He abducts one of the Ranma cast (not necessarily Ranma, and not
necessarily a martial artist), and makes the deal once on the island.
Afterward, the hunt is on...
