One city.
(scene: Feudal Edo)
Two ronin.
(shot of silouettes)
Three Great Clans.
(scene: three magnificent mansions; each palatial estate occupies one third
of the screen)
Four thousand gallons of blood.
Usagi and Manji: Yojimbo for Hire.
(vert. cut screen: Usagi is riding a horse, reins in his teeth, standing in
the stirrups. His katana is held with both hands, vertically. Manji's back
is to the camera, displaying the black and white hakenkreuz; his arms are
spread wide, a vast array of various bladed objects stuck in the ground.)

Miyamoto Usagi is property of Fantagraphics, Manji is owned by Dark Horse.

Manji is the (anti-)hero from the manga, "Blade of the Immortal." The
hakenkreuz is a swastika, with the angles pointing counterclockwise. This
is NOT an expression of anti-semitic or pro-Nazi opinions. He likes blades,
which is why he has a lot of them. Something like twelve different types of
sharp weapons.
Usagi is the hero from "Usagi Yojimbo" and a two-swordsman. Always proper,
Usagi is a wandering ronin; unlike most other ronin of "his" era, he follows
bushido, and is, I think, based from the legendary swordsman, Miyamoto
Musashi.
