This has been one of my favorite songs for years, and it just hit me that it
would make a great Ranma video.  As always, constructive comments are
welcome.

A thoroughly unauthorized attempt to put together two things I love that I
think go well together.


On the street between the Tendou house and Furinkan High

			Some kind of love is like gold,

Ranma and Akane are walking to school.  He is on the fence, his hands behind
his head.

			But that is the hardest to hold,

Shampoo is riding her bicycle on the fence.  She glomps Ranma.

			For it catches the eye of each thief passing by,

Akane knocks them both into the river and walks on alone, her nose in the
air, pointedly ignoring the screeching redhead in the water.

			Some kind of love is like gold.



Akane reaches the gates of Furinkan High and is greeted by Kunou, who tries
to embrace her.

			And some kind of love comes too soon,

She knocks him into orbit.

			And that kind of love heals your wounds,

He lands at Nabiki�s feet.

			And when your wounds are all healed
			and you�re back on your wheels

Nabiki sighs, shakes her head and carries him off to the infirmary.

			You say that kind of love came too soon.



Back at the Tendou house, Kasumi is moving through her household chores,
cleaning, hanging out laundry.

			Some kind of love, some kind of love,
			everyone�s looking for some kind of love,
			some kind of love, some kind of love,
			everyone�s looking for some kind of love.



Outside Nerima, on a road through a forest, Ukyou is heading away from town,
pulling a yatai.  There are tears in her eyes.

			And some kinds of love starts as friends,

Ryouga emerges from the trees and waves to Ukyou.

			and that kind of love never ends,

She stops, waves back.  He approaches, rather hesitantly.

			for it comes on as slow as a flower in snow,

He takes a place beside her and they continue along the road, pulling the
yatai together.

On a random street in Nerima, Shampoo is walking, carrying her ramen
delivery case.

			And some kind of love tears your heart

Mousse is following her, pleading and gesturing.  Obviously he�s trying to
get her to go out with him.

			when you knew it was wrong from the start,

She knocks him into a puddle and he transforms.  She continues on her way.

			but try to explain the moth to the flame,

The duck flaps after her, quacking wildly.

			some kind of love tears your heart.



In the Tendou kitchen, Kasumi is cooking.  She looks serene and happy.

			Some kind of love, some kind of love,
			everyone�s looking for some kind of love,
			some kind of love, some kind of love,
			everyone�s looking for some kind of love.



Inside the Tendou house, we see an open butsudan with a picture of Mrs.
Tendou and a freshly filled offering bowl.  Soun is in front of the altar,
praying.  He is NOT crying.

			But some kind of love never dies,
			and that is the hardest to find,
			through laughter and rage
			it just mellows with age,
			some kind of love never dies.



Outside Furinkan High, just as school is letting out, Akane and Ranma walk
out of the building, side by side, arguing.

			And some kind of love is like gold,

Kodachi appears, dressed in her leotard, twirling her ribbon, and carrying a
bouquet of black roses.

			and that is the hardest to hold,

She glomps Ranma.

			for it catches the eye of each thief passing by,

Akane pulls her mallet out of hammerspace and slams Kodachi, who drops to
the ground with her hands in �promise pose.�  Without missing a step, she
and Ranma walk on, still arguing.

			some kind of love is like gold.



Kasumi comes up the street toward Dr. Toufuu�s clinic, carrying a covered
dish.

			Some kind of love, some kind of love,

She turns up the walk and knocks on the door.

			everyone�s looking for some kind of love,

Dr. Toufuu answers the door and greets Kasumi.

			some kind of love, some kind of love,

His glasses turn blank, he gets a silly grin and walks into the wall.
Kasumi holds her hand over her mouth in amusement.

			everyone�s looking for some kind of love.

NOTES, EXPLANATIONS ETC.

Yes, I know it's OOC for Akane to mallet Kodachi instead of Ranma, but I
thought it worked better that way. It also worked better to give Soun a
moment of dignity -- he doesn't get many.

I have *no* idea what album this song is on, as I didn't learn it from a
Stewart album, I learned it from a local singer my husband and I used to go
to see when we were first going together.
