that wasn't already painfully obvious, I've got some prime Florida real

I need a title, and right now Im too lazy to think of one.
First off, I like NGE. I like NGE fics. But, I have never written a
NGE fic before. Ive read a few though, if that counts. One of the
ones I read was Paradise Lost, and yes, it was a crossover/fusion with
Ranma. I loved it. And the other day, I was reading a NGE lemon,
Ritsukos problem. I rather liked it too, but there was this one
paragraph that stuck in my mind.
After only a dozen or so seconds the younger woman said it again. A
bomb
shell detonated inside Ritsuko's stomach. She wouldn't have been more
shocked if Shinji grew a spine and Asuka became a nun avowed to a life
of
humility. Not even if Gendou had worn a flowered dress in front of the
SEELE High Council and announced he was the Angel in drag destined to
save
the human race with his soul music.
For some reason, when I pictured this, Gendo had a palm tree growing out
of his head and was holding that damned Hawaiian guitar (I know what
its called but I cant spell it). I got to thinking about it, decided
I liked it, and am now determined to see this written. I dont really
wanna do it myself, Im a lazy person and Im busy enough as it is, but
I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to see this carried through. Enough to do
it myself if I have too.
What I would really like is to find someone else willing to write this
and just preread for them or something, but Ill settle for a little
help with planning. Right now Ive got the situation, but I dont know
what to have happen. Just rewrite the series like everyone else? Id
really rather not, but unless yall holler at me and give me some better
ideas thats probably what Im gonna do.
Also, I can NOT do the principals accent with any degree of accuracy,
or Tatewakis.
Kuno Tatewaki looked around aimlessly as he stood beside a deserted
road.
He clutched a photograph to himself and adjusted his duffel bag slung
over his back. He would have preferred a backpack but his bokken
wouldnt fit in one and he had finally realized why people kept staring
at him when he walked around with it in public.
Has some hoard of demons from the very depths of hell spirited away
the population of this fair city? Translation: Where the hell is
everyone?
Tatewaki looked at the photograph again. This wasnt to reread the
message scrawled on it; he had long since memorized that, no, he just
liked to look at the woman it pictured. His eyes obediently followed
the arrow pointing to a certain area, as they always did. Who was he to
argue?
Ah, Katsuragi Akane, a beautiful name for a beautiful woman. It warms
my heart to find that my skills in kendo have brought me fame far and
wide, even such that they have requested my transfer to Tokyo-3.
Translation: Damn shes hot! I wonder why they brought me here?
He looked around as a flock of birds flew overhead, chirping in alarm.
A young girl with long blue hair stood down the road looking at him.
Suddenly, a rush of sound assaulted his eardrums, causing him to clap
his hands over his ears in pain. AHHHOOOWwwch! Translation: This
hellish noise causes much pain to my sensitive hearing.
Looking back up to check on the girl, he found her missing. He looked
around franticly. Fair maiden? Where for art thou? Translation: Do
you really need one? He snatched his bokken out and assumed a brave
posture. Fear not! For I, Kuno Tatewaki, Rising star of the
AHHHHHHH!!!
A small group of guided missiles had chosen that moment to fly
overhead, the wind of their passage tearing the bokken from his grasp
and knocking him over. He watched as they slammed into a large humanoid
creature about a block away and exploded. He threw his hands in front
of himself to ward off the debris.
A car screeched to a halt just in front of him, blocking the explosion,
and threw the door open.
Sorry Im late! Lets go!
Tatewaki looked in to see the woman from the photograph. But, the
girl, my sword...
NOW!
Yes Ma'am!
Akane jerked him in and slammed the door before stomping the gas and
running from the angel. She narrowly avoided large flying chunks of
road as she burnt a few hundred miles off the life of her tires.
After putting a few miles between themselves and the angel Tatewakis
thought processes started working again.
What manner of demonic beast was that? he asked.
Akane glanced over at him, but soon returned her eyes to the road.
That was an angel. Thats why youve been brought here.
Ah, I have been called before god to receive a special assignment, one
worthy of my skills!
Akane shook her head. Not that kind of angel, its a big alien robot
thing. We just call them angels. They really want to destroy the
world.
Ah, the foul minions of evil disguise themselves and come forth to do
battle! Fear not my lady, I, Kuno Tatewaki, shall triumph! He paused
to catch his breath. Wait, that maiden! That demon must have
distracted me so that it could abduct her! Oh, the horror!
Umm, yeah. (I should have expected this. I should have expected
this. He is, after all, the son of *shudder* Gendo.) Akanes hand came
up to clutch at her hair, just in case.
She stopped to look at the angel through a set of binoculars. Tatewaki
continued his rant in the background. What? NO! Not an N2! DUCK!
Waa? Tatewaki gasped as she pressed herself down on top of him.
This is neither the time or the place, but if you insist.
The N2 bomb went off in a blinding flash of light, throwing up a
shockwave powerful enough to make a really big hole and send the little
car rolling.
After they came to a stop they both sat up groggily.
Tatewaki, as usual, was the first to speak. What form of duck can do
that?
Akane hit him.
****************
They arrived at the NERV headquarters and after a while of wandering
around lost; they arrived at a large holding bay. Tatewaki was quite
impressed with the layout; hed never seen anyplace that big before. He
spent most of his time waxing poetic on the virtues of Akane, the
caverns, and the blessed arrival of a blond haired scientist who
actually knew her way around.
He especially liked her arrival. One minute she wasnt there, the next
she was. He started thinking about creating his own dramatic entrance.
Akane leaned forward and said something about him being just like his
father, but he was sure he had misheard. He was NOT like his father.
They walked into another holding bay.
Why have we come here, he asked. I must go and defeat mine enemy,
not travel through darkened caverns.
Then the lights came on.
The scientist, who had been introduced as Akagi Ritsuko, turned to him.
This is Evangelion unit one, mankinds last defense against the
angels.
He looked puzzled for a minute. Wait, I thought that I was to be the
last defense against the demons?
Ritsuko glared at Akane.
She held her hands up. I didnt tell him! I swear, he come up with
this on his own!
Dis heah, dis be yo robot, Tatchi.
Tatewakis head snapped up and his face twisted into a sneer. Only one
person ever called him that. Father. What are you doing here?
Kuno Gendo looked down on the people standing on the catwalk
impassively. Or at least as impassively as you can while wearing a
chartreuse shirt and have a little palm tree on your head. I run dis
place, Tatchi. I be da big Kahuna. Now, we cut yo hair and you get yo
robot and beat up the troublemaker.
Another man stuck his head in and whispered something.
Okay, you get in yo robot and beat up da troublemaker, DEN we gonna
shave yo head.
Tatewaki shook his head. I dont think so, FATHER. I am a swordsman,
not a robot pilot. Find someone else.
Akane spoke up. Tatewaki, youre the only one that can.
He still shook his head.
Gendo shrugged. Fine den. Get my little Wahine, she can do it. He
waved off the other mans protests without listening.
Tatewaki shrugged and turned to leave, figuring the matter settled. He
turned just in time to see four men with shaved heads wheel a stretcher
in with a girl on it. It was the same girl that he had saw earlier, but
a lot more injured.
NO! That vile beast has injured you! You are in no shape to fight!
I shall be the one to defeat it, as they say, only I can! He struck a
pose.
The angel had been pounding on the geofronts armor, and just managed
to break through. Large chunks of metal fell directly toward the posing
boy below.
The Evas hand tore free and put its hand directly over his head as the
falling debris reached him. It bounced off the hand and splashed into
the liquid below, providing a picturesque background for him to finish
his speech against.
He turned and strode to the Eva without a backward glance. Um, how do
I use it?

Right now, I know. Inconsistant characterizations, weak dialoge, few
details, needs work. But I dont wanna get too far into it until I get
a better idea of what I wanna do. I have this image of Kuno swinging
around a progressive katana. Kodachi will be Rei, but with Reis
personality and body.
Ranma-chan WILL take Asukas place, as 100% girl. She will beat the
crap out of Kuno on a regular basis, but just think. Kodachi is
Tatewakis sister. No romance there. Who does that leave for
Tatewaki? ^_- Yes, oh yes. Im gonna do it.
Im changing nothing about Misato except the name. And I may go back
and put the name back to Misato. I dunno.
Ranko will have about as much luck fighting the angels as Asuka does in
the original NGE. In other words, very little. Kuno really will be the
one to defeat the angel menace, and this is of course gonna drive Ranko
nuts.
Also, I figure Kunos paraniod mentality should make him perfect for
figuring out what goes on behind the scenes, even though he has no proof
and everyone else dismisses it as another one of his delusions (except
the SEELE council, which should be interesting). *snicker* His ego is
gonna shoot through the roof, after all, everyone really does agree that
he is the only one that can save the human race.
I figure of all the Ranma characters, the Kuno family most closely
matches the Ikari family. *shrug* Ill not list the reasons I think
so, but I have a few.
No other Ranma characters are scheduled to show up, although Pen-Pen
will be named P-chan.
Still, this image of Tsubasa as Kaji intrigues me.
