A few of my stories have been inspired by my own spamfics.

The spamfic version will have just enough detail to reveal the twisted
idea and then the full fanfic version will fill in the details required to
tell an actual story.

SKJAM's "A Mother's Wish" has Ataru's mother wishing she'd had a girl
instead and winding up with El Hazard's Alielle.

She shouldn't have been surprised at the outcome, because she herself had
said (in the UY series) that Ataru's personality would be a disaster in a
girl.

Now personally, my preference for writing Alielle into UY is to have a
story where Ataru brags about his cousin "the best girlwatcher I've ever
met" coming for a visit and having everybody else wonder what sort of guy
this must be, but SKJAM's version requires a different treatment.

The first question is what sort of alien is chasing after Alielle.  If it
was simply Alielle doing the chasing I'm sure the aliens would all have
left long ago.

Now, I can see Alielle snuggling up to Lum at every opportunity, so it
really has to be a guy.

The story begins with Alielle walking home after Shinobu has begged out of
a "date" and everybody is at Alielle's house, the military and the media,
because Mr Invader is there to have Earth's champion go against the
champion of the Oni, Rei.

Alielle doesn't want to have anything to do with this, but Shinobu thinks
it's cool to be the champion of Earth and so Alielle agrees.

On the last day of the tag game, Alielle distracts Rei with some food and
grabs his horns as she asks Shinobu to be hers forever.  Rei has never had
such good tasting food before (he's used to inhaling Lum's cooking quickly
so as to get past the aftertaste) and he agrees, proving that the quickest
path to a man's heart is through his gut feelings.

Mr Moroboshi is delighted that his daughter now has a proper fiancee (He
might be an alien demon but at least his daughter has finally shown some
intrest in a guy) and invites Rei to stay with them.  (A stealthy
diversion of the farm price support program keeps Rei fed)

Alielle isn't too pleased with this, until Lum shows up (chasing after
Rei).

The situation is that the boys of the class want Alielle to commit to Rei
so that Lum will be free for them and so it goes until some slackers from
Seattle discover Rei and decide that he's just the sort of lead singer
they need for their new band, "Nirvana".
