This is a nice story.
I especially like the fact that you avoided the
standard fanfic cliches. 
There is a large body of work on Zen that shows men
and women turning to Zen due to personal tragedy. 
This story fits in well with Japanese traditions.
(Although Japanese legends of unrequited or impossible
love usually end in suicide, murder or divine
retribution. ^_^) All-in-All your story was a WAFF,
comparatively speaking. (Besides, if you think about
it, Kodachi is getting the better deal. SHE gets God,
Akane only gets Ranma. )
