This should end the Kuno arc of the fusion fanfic,folks. Let's see
how you people like it. I'm leaving the list on Sunday for three
months due to a special program,so I'll put the next few chapters
on as quickly as possible here.

Chapter 6: A Nice Girl

"Oh dear! How dreadful!" said Tofu as he ran his hair through his hair.
"Except for the bokken wound. What happened to him?"

Yuffie began to cry. "A...Ano..."

"A kawaiikune tomboy did this to me," snarled Ranma,looking at Yuffie.

"It's my fault," sobbed Yuffie. "I didn't mean to blast him with my chi,
but he...he..." She choked on a sob. ~I was such a fool! How could my
own SISTER do this to me,selling photos of me naked? That baka!~

"You did this to him,Yuffie-chan?" asked Dr. Tofu.

Yuffie swallowed and looked at him. Time to face the music. "Hai."

Dr. Tofu laughed his head off. "I thought so!" He smiled at Yuffie,who
was shocked at the way he flippantly banished the guilt. "I knew you
tended to be violent at times,but THIS...and that power,how did you...?"

"I dunno,sensei," said Yuffie sheepishly. "I guess I call in my chi
when I got pissed off. I summoned a power which I didn't realize. Same
for when Kunou was almost going to tear Ranma to shreds."

Tofu smiled and went to work repairing Ranma's burns and wounds. "I must
say,Yuffie-chan,you are indeed growing in power. It must be your special
ki attacks,honed by the ninja arts. I doubt that any true martial artist
could summon such power as you did." He smiled. "I hear you're engaged."

Yuffie snapped out of it. "Our folks forced us into it!" she protested.

"I guess you two are rather young to be married," said Tofu. "You have
to experience life and excitement. A real couple would marry later."
He sighed as he finished. "There! It's all fixed."

Ranma got up and felt himself over. "Thanks,doc! You are good!" He
leapt off the examination table and landed gracefully.

"Glad I could help," said Yofu-sensei. "Yuffie,try to be nicer to Ranma.
I really don't want to keep fixing the boy up."

"O-O-Okay,sensei. Gomen," she said,leaving. Ranma was about to follow.

"Ranma-kun,wait," said Tofu. Ranma stopped. "What about you? I have a
feeling that YOU don't like this arrangement either."

"Well..." said Ranma.

"Ranma,try to be nice to Yuffie-san," said Tofu. "Even though she is...
mischevious at times and flies off the handle,deep down she's really a
nice girl. Can't you try to be friends with her?"

"I dunno," said Ranma in worry. "If she can blast me like that,I really
am scared of her. Never in my life as a martial artist could I do that."

"You might be surprised," said Tofu. "Hidden in that corrupt kleptomanic
ninja is a girl who is kind and honest."

"Huh? Kind? Honest?" asked Ranma,scratching his head. "Are you sure we
are talking about the SAME girl,Tofu-sensei?"

The doctor chuckled. "Remeber what I told you,Ranma-kun. How would YOU
like it if people hated you everywhere you went,like Yuffie? If someone
treated her with respect,she would return it." He patted Ranma's back.
"I am sure that one day,you two will come to like each other."

Ranma shook his head. "Well,just in case,have a stretcher for me."

"What was THAT about?" asked Yuffie as Ranma came out.

"I dunno," said Ranma,shrugging. "Maybe he was sorry for me,being 
engaged to a kleptomanic tomboy like you."

"I see," sighed Yuffie,hanging her head. She turned her head away,but
Ranma grabbed her ponytail. "HEY! What's the big deal,bub?"

"I can't believe you wear your hair like that,kawaiikunecochan!" he 
said,yanking the hair hard. Yuffie screamed and hit him.

"Get lost,you bastard!" shouted Yuffie.

"Beh!" said Ranma,sticking his tongue out. Yuffie stormed off.

Tofu put down his cup of tea and checked the clock. ~3...2...1...~

"AIE!" cried Ranma as his legs gave out. He fell to the ground.

Yuffie froze and turned around,then gasped. ~Ranma!~ She ran off.
"Oh my god! Did something happen? I thought Doc fixed that!"

Ranma then realized something. "That doc! He did this to me! He patted
me on the back...I think he used some acupressure on me."

"Oh no," said Yuffie,slapping her brow. "I forget that Tofu-sensei is
a master of acupressure. He used a pressure-point move on you." She
thought. "Well,it shouldn't be permanent. He must have done this to
make me carry you. Oh well..." She threw her pack off. "Come on,I'll
carry you home. You are NOT going to drag yourself home."

"No way," said Ranma angrily. "I don't want to be carried."

"You want me to leave you here until your legs return?" asked Yuffie
coldly. "Why are you so scared to be carried like a little kid?"

"You know what people would THINK if they saw me being carried by you?"
asked Ranma in horror. "It's so embarrassing!"

"Oh god," moaned Yuffie,shaking her head. She sighed and emptied her
bookbag,shoving it over Ranma's head. "There! You won't have to see
anyone,and it's rather late so there isn't anyone around." She then
lifted him onto his back and carried him home.

"This will NEVER work," moaned Ranma.

"Shut the hell up,you jerk," snarled Yuffie. "You should be GLAD that
you are getting a ride home. I have to leave all my stuff at the clinic
thanks to you and your...your...ano..." She shut up.

Ranma also shut up,thinking about Tofu's words.

	"She really is a nice girl."

~I don't believe that for a second,~ thought Ranma darkly.

The next morning,Ranma and Genma did their morning training,then came
to breakfast when Kasumi called them to breakfast. Genma-panda did eat
normal food,much to Nabiki's delight - she didn't want to add 'bamboo'
as another added expense. She saw Yuffie not looking at her as the ninja
ate and hung her head. ~This is all my fault,~ she thought. ~I should
have told her my idea and maybe she would not be hateful towards me.~

Just then,Genma-panda held up a sign. [I am getting a job today.]

"A JOB?" laughed Ranma. "Where,at the ZOO?"

[Don't mock me,boy,] the sign said as Genma-panda snarled.

Nabiki this and lit up. Maybe this would ease the dojo's finances and
then Nabiki wouldn't have to do those photo sales as often. She still
sold photos,much to Yuffie's distaste. Yuffie didn't carry out her
threat to blow up her sister's head in flame - after all,Nabiki WAS
Yuffie's sister and still a friend,even if she was a traitor. Yuffie
had said that to scare Nabiki to her sense,and that had succeeded.

"Really? You get a job?" teased Yuffie. "Where would a panda work?"

"I dunno," said Kasumi. "Yuffie-chan,could you do a favor for me?"
She left and came back with an acupressure book. "Could you return
this book to Tofu-sensei? I was going to,but I've got an errand."

"Sure,Kasumi-chan," said Yuffie,taking the book. It would give Yuffie
a chance to be with Tofu. "I'll do it after school." She got up. "Come
on,Ranma,we're gonna be late." The two left.

"That's odd," said Nabiki. "They have fourty minutes to school."

~I wonder what they left so early for,~ thought Kasumi,curious.

The sky was clear as a bell. Yuffie didn't care,for she pulled Ranma
along as she ran,trying to get to school early.

"Hey!" shouted Ranma. "What's the rush?"

They reached the gates and then Yuffie tripped. Ranma grabbed her in
a way that got quite a few looks from the students. Yuffie blushed
and pulled herself away. "What are YOU looking at?" she shouted.

She then noticed something and turned to find the usual morning crowd.
She smiled. ~Cool! Another fight!~ She took a stance. "Come on!" She
then noticed that the crowd was going to fight her. In fact...they began
to cry in unison as if they had been cued to. "Naaaaani?"

One boy approached. "Tendo Yuffie,we have come to say that our fight
with you is now over. From what we learned of your powers yesterday,
you are effectively...TOO STRONG TO BE DEFEATED!" He sobbed.

"NANI YO!?" cried Yuffie. ~Who told them about what happened yesterday?
How did they know about the chi attacks?~ She began to sweatdrop. "What
is this? I bet this some sort of ambush trap."

"No,it is not," said the speaker. "You are far too powerful to fight,
considering that Tatewaki Kunou-sempai felt the power of your wrath."

Yuffie paled. ~They know about those new attack I created! Ano...~

Just then,a voice spoke. It was Kunou. "So,Tendo Yuffie. You think that
I was bested by such power. 'Tis nothing more than a trick by your foul
ninja schemes and that vile sorcerer Saotome to save thy face!" Yuffie
gasped in horror as she saw Kunou all wrapped up in bandages. She was
shocked that her own chi did THAT to him! "But I cannot be defeated."

"He used to be the strongest here," said a boy.

"And the biggest pervert," whispered another.

Kunou glared daggers at him. "Nando ko ya?" he snarled. The boy shrank.

"And I thought YOU were a perv," Yuffie whispered to Ranma.

"I didn't hear that," said Ranma coldly.

"Maybe these fools feel that the great Tendo Yuffie can never be saved,"
said Kunou,unwrapping the bandages around his head and neck to reveal
the chain marks left by Yuffie's Landscaper. "I,on the other hand,still
have faith in my abilities. Once I slay that vile sorcerer,I will cure
the wicked rot which had affected my lovely lotus! No magic cast by that
foul sorcerer,Saotome Ranma,can defeat me! EVER!"

"Who's a coward?" snarled Ranma. "Don't you get it,Kunou? You lost!
Over and over again!" He did admit that Yuffie had robbed the luxury
from him the last time. "Get that through your thick bone-head!"

Yuffie sighed. "I've seen enough." In a flash,Kunou was hanging by the
flagpole. "Come on,Ranma-kun! We're gonna be late!" She ran off.

Ranma sighed. "Oh well..." he said,running off. The boys were amazed.

PE came quickly for both Yuffie and Ranma. Yuffie was convinced by her
fellow girls to participate in a softball match while Ranma finished his
gymnastics. He sat down to two boys,Hiroshi and Daisuke.

Both boys were considered hentai.

"Hey,Ranma-kun," teased Hiroshi. "How have you done with Yuffie?"

"Huh?" asked Ranma.

"Come on,you two are iizanuke,ne?" said Daisuke,leaning in with a leer.
"So,have you two gone all the way yet?"

"N-N-NANI?" cried Ranma in disgust. "Masaka!"

"Come on,you at least necked her,didn't you?" asked Hiroshi. "She's
a sexy girl with a slender body. I'd go for her,no problem."

Yuffie took the bat and got into position. Ranma did think she was cute,
but then quickly realized what would happen if he admitted it.

"That kawaiikune klepto?!" he protested.

#WHACK!# Yuffie hit a foul ball right into Ranma's face. Yuffie saw this
and sweatdropped. "Oops! Sorry,Ranma!" she called.

Ranma fell over in a faint.

"Are you okay,Ranma?" asked Yuffie. "Sorry about that."

"Mou..." said Ranma angrily as he caressed the bandage over his face. 
"You already apologized twelve times!"

As they reached the clinic,a familiar face greeted them.

"Dad?" asked Ranma in shock. It was Genma-panda,sweeping the walk.

"So this is his new job," muttered Yuffie. "Great."

Dr. Tofu came out. "Ah,Yuffie,Ranma. Coming home?" he asked. He turned
to the panda. "Sou sou,that's good enough,Panda-san." He turned to the
two. "I don't think you've met my new employee,ne?"

The two kids facefaulted.
