Yeah, the story is that the emperor, an excellent warrior, was searching
for a way to make himself immortal, and indefinately extend the length of
his rule. However, his wife knew that she was a tyrant, so when he found
the medicine, she stole it, and gaining godhood, ascended to the moon.
Actually, the story is that there was a great warrior who shot down nine suns
with a bow and left only one to shine (because the planet was burning) and in
reward, the main Earth Emperor gave him a. . .pill, I think (or was that
peach? It's been so long since I read it) for immortality. The warrior was
a simple man (doesn't that remind you of someone?) and already had a wife who
was. . . very paranoid (for a lack of better words). The man hid the pill,
but the pill radiated a sweet scent (this is where I'm beginning to forget
it) and the woman found it, and swallowed it (for some obscure reason that
memory can't recall). She became so light that she floated to the moon, and
spit out the shell. . . and you know the rest. Still, she wasn't happy, and
being that fact Chinese likes sadisticness, they made it a holiday (mmm. .
.mooncakes).
The peaches are probably the peaches that Sun Wu Kong were supposed to
guard in heaven (this is a guess). They were supposed to extend life by
large amount of time.
Nope. Sen Wukong (aka Son Goku [NOT the saiya-jin baka]) broke into the
alchemist's lab and ATE (for a lack of better words) the golden life
prolonging powder (ALL of it). Also, when he was "serving time" in heaven,
he was responsible for the grand party and distributing the peaches, but he
got upset, ate all the peaches, and got himself drunk on wine (like
everybody's favorite galaxy destroying imbecile). No problems!
Thanks!
No problemo!
I'm still recovering from eating some of my friend's cooking (I swear it
attacked me) so I've got nothing to do . . besides that large writer's block.
