I am in the workings of a new fiction, somthing that
has been dancing around in my head and causing minor
brain malfunctions. It is kinda like this:

A Japanese TV show producer is having some trouble,
and for some reason (I have not decided yet) is going
to re-cast a Western TV show, and cast people's
favorite Anime characters in it.

The fiction is basically a big behind-the-scenes story
about the production of the show, the problems the
characters have with the script, outtakes, ETC.

It's been done. It's called (sur)Real World, by RpM.

As Lurker said, it's been done.  So what?  There hasn't been a truly new
story in the world in a very long time.

It sounds interesting.  Write up a chapter or two and send it out.
You'll know if it's good or not once you start writing it.

Don't be discouraged be someone who "Sometimes I fart, sometimes I
belch; sometimes I scratch my nads" writes this wonderful tagline.
