No it doesn't. "None would disbelieve me" means the same thing as
"Everyone would believe me". Of course the former comment is more
pompous in it's double negativity, but isn't she a snobbish girl?

unless you change 'that none would believe me' to 'that
(people/they) would disbelieve me'. Either way I suggest changing 'He
was not that far removed' to 'He was not so far removed'.
