No, it wasn't Kinnosuke. The date to which I was referring was a
two-page sequence at the beginning of Kinny's story, before he appears.
The guy in question is drawn with his face fuzzed out, supposedly to
"protect the victim's privacy," but it seems clear that the implication
is that this is business as usual for Nabiki and she doesn't really care
who the guy is.

Specifically, what happens is:

* Nabiki meets Mr. Faceless for a date; she mentions that he's written
her a love letter.

* They go to a restaurant. He buys her lots of food.

* They see a movie. Faceless-man fidgets, not looking as he squeezes the
hand in his; unknown to him the hand belongs to a little old lady
sitting on the other side of Nabiki, who is chowing down on snacks.

* At a jewelry store, Nabiki points to something in a glass case and
remarks on how cute it is. Faceless buys it for her.

* Nabiki thanks the guy for the date. He asks her when he can see her
again, and she says she doesn't think that would be a good idea. She
pulls out a sheaf of papers, saying that she "accidentally" made copies
of the love letter that he sent her and asking if he'd like to buy them
back from her. The narration describes her as "without maidenly
feelings."
