Ranko's been reading the C&C on the previous chapters of this. :) The
explanation makes sense, but is there any way it could be shown in the
story rather than told directly to the readers?
She does this a faire bit, but I'll see what I can do. This
tendency is going to be shoved in her face next chapter...
I turned around, and there was Nabiki, in one of Akane's better
outfits. She smiled ruefully.
Why isn't Nabsy wearing her own clothes?
She's indulging in her hobby of borrowing Akane's stuff.
I noticed a book on the counter, _Up the Walls of the World_ by
James Tiptree, Jr. It had a spaceship on the cover, so I made a note to
myself that Ukyou was a science fiction fan. I didn't know too much
about the subject; I was still working through the Tendou sisters'
collection of romance novels. And they'd taught me it was important to
find out a boy's interests so you could talk about them with him.
Extra tabspace.
oops.
In fact, I failed to notice his presence until a bunch of roses
was thrust in my face.
"Ranko Tendou! Flowers to the fair, and a vision to my eyes."
Why is it Ranko Tendo in this continuity, rather than Ranko Saotome?
Whoops. Brainfault. She's a Saotome.
Some reason I'm forgetting? (I also note that Ranko claims to be Ranma's
sister, or at least Ukyo thinks she is, which would make her a Saotome.)
Yep.
Ukyo is obviously up to something with Ranko, but it's hard to say what
it is at this point. Hope we don't have to wait another year to find
out. :)
Who knows?
