Subject: [FFML] [SpamFic] [Ranma/Doom] Gates of Redemption

Just wanted to get some feedback on this before I went ahead with Chapter
One. Just so you know, I'm partially some characters from the book series
continuity, namely PFC Flynn Taggart & Arlene Sanders, as well as the
demons, but the bad guy is original.. well.. for the most part.. ^_^...
Nonetheless, the fic will turn out quite differently from the book series.
Which, as long as you don't read past book 2, was quite enjoyable.

Anyways, I'd like to get as much feedback on this as possible, so if you'd
like me to continue it, send me a little note saying 'Continue it!' And if
not, send me that too. I need to know if its a waste of time or not..
^_^... Anyways, enjoy what I have so far...

	The Shores of Hell

	A Ranma/Doom Crossover

	By Kyle Emmerson AKA TydRipper

	Prologue: Gates of Redemption

****

	Today was a good day.

For some reason, he couldn't explain how, or why. But
the day just seemed like it would be perfect. Ranma
stretched as he sat up in bed.

He was surprised to find out his father hadn't woken
him. He must have been up late the previous night playing
Shogi with Mr. Tendo. Which was all the better for Ranma.
No rude awakenings.

Then there was the matter of breakfast. All ready and
made by the time he got downstairs. Though it was true
Ranma felt he should be training, he was just in such a
good mood it didn't matter. He ate his breakfast, making
sure there was none left for his father when he woke up,
and proceeded out the door, right next to Akane.

The walk to school was equally as good. Friendly chat
with Akane. No run-ins with Shampoo, Kuno, Ryouga, or any
other person that could likely ruin his day. He also got
to school and sat in his desk with ten minutes to spare.

As the bell rang, he sat upright in his desk. A smile
shadowing his face as Ms. Hinako called out attendence.

Even the other students seemed to be having a good
day. Ranma wondered if it was contagious.

As the day went by without incident, and the last
bell of school rang, leaving the class for the weekend,
Ranma realized it was.

The following day, however, would be a completely
different matter.

"Damnit, Fly. What the hell is this?"

Flynn Taggart shrugged. "What's it look like?"

"You mean to tell me, after three YEARS of fightin'
Shining Path guerillas, we're down to THIS?"

"You think I'm happy about it?"

Private First Class Arlene Sanders shook her head.
"This has got to be the most bullshit we've ever had to
put up with. It's like... babysitting."

"It is babysitting," a third voice came from behind
them.

PFC Flynn Taggart AKA 'Fly' saluted out of instinct.
He had learned long ago to never disrespect a CO, but
that hardly stopped him on some circumstances.

Lieutenant Marshall McLaughlin saluted in return. "At
ease."

"Sir!" The two of them chimed, instantly holding
their hands behind their backs.

"I overheard you two talking back there, Private," he
informed Fly.

	"Sir, permission to speak freely?"

	"Granted."

"Sir. I believe this mission is bullshit, Sir."

	"So do I."

	"Sir?"

"Nevertheless, Private, its our duty. I'd much rather
be in a combat situation right now, but our current duty
is to escort the ambassador out of Peru without
confrontation."

"Sir, why couldn't one of the army platoons handle
it?"

	"You two read the news?"

	They looked at each other.

"All United States Army units have been removed from
the country. Only us Marines remain."

	"I still don't see--"

"Private, we're going to Japan. Don't worry, I'm sure
Peru will wait until you get back before it goes to hell.
You'll also have a forty-eight hour relief in Japan."

"Sir, I don't know the language, Sir!"

	"Do you speak Peruvian?"

	"No Sir."

"So why are you in Peru?"

	Flynn blinked.

"You'll both take a forty-eight hour relief in Japan,
and that is an order."

	"Yes Sir!" They both saluted.

Leiutenant McLaughlin just shook his head and walked
down the hall.

"You don't speak the language?" Arlene laughed.

"I had to think of something."

"Lying to a Lieutenant isn't gonna make our lives
easier, Fly."

"Well, do YOU want to stick around Japan for that
long? I may know a bit, but that's still not a reason."

Arlene looked up in thought. "You know, I really
wouldn't mind two days. Maybe we can check out one of
those karaoke bars I read about."

"Uhg. Flynn Taggart DOES NOT sing..."

"Not one of those, the ones where you get to beat the
crap out of a room for $100 a pop."

Flynn looked somewhat deep in thought.

	"Sound good?"

"I guess it won't be all bad."

"Besides, I heard the place is full of hot shot
martial artists."

Flynn smiled. "Now that will be fun."

	Arlene laughed again.

"Wait no more, we will not." It said, narrowing
its red, evil eyes into the forbidden abyss before it.

"Window is here, it is, Grand Lord." One of its
minions stated.

"Test it, we shall. The lands unconquered are
unknown, they are." It replied.

"Grand Lord, do your bidding, we shall."

"My army, send forth. Inform me, my scouts shall."

"The army of flesh, we will."

"The army of flesh and sciences, what of?"

"Army of flesh an sciences incomplete, Grand Lord.
Infantries one and two, only."

"Send them as well, we will."

	"Grand Lord, understood."

	"Send them now, you will."

And his minion did his bidding. Rows upon rows of
demons and the like walked into the abyss before them. To
most gathered, the destination was known only as the
unconquered lands. To the Grand Lord Oremor, it was his
place of birth. The place he had grown in. Killed in, and
was ultimately banished from.

"Grand Lord?" Another asked from nearby him.

He turned to face his minion. A smile grew on his
face.

	"Minion. Speak now, you shall."

"Grand Lord. What of the humans?"

	"What of?"

"You have not been to the human world in five hundred
years, Grand Lord. What if they have advanced in
technology as we have over the centuries?"

Oremor thought. He then widened his smile. "Use it
against them, we shall. Find traitors amongst them, we
shall." He brought his mangled fist before him and closed
it tightly. "Crush them, we shall."

He continued to smile. "Take Earth, we shall. After
Earth, the higher planes. Take over every existence, we
will. Stop only when God himself worships my divinity, we
will."

His minion closed his eyes in acceptance of his
answer. "I will fight with you, Grand Lord. From the
human realm, to that of Angels."

	"Seven days."

	"Pardon me, Lord?"

"Seven days will I cross. Until seven days will
window be stable for glory, mine."

"Seven days until the humans all perish?"

Oremor smiled. "Seven days, Belial. Seven days."

Belial, minion of Oremor, fell back into place by his
side. Of all the demons of the underworld, Belial was the
most trusted and respected by Oremor. Not simply because
he was once too a part of the human world, but his
judgement was always beneficial to his needs.

Oremor smiled as he watched the soldiers and generals
of his army reach through the portal before him. His
dreams could only tell what lay beyond.
