I had the same problem with this story that David seems to have had. It
directly contradicts things that we know about Nabiki from the original
series. Look at the date she goes on in Volume 29 part 9, for example.
While I'm all in favor of adding depth to characters, I don't think
throwing away established facts is a good way to do it. Especially
considering that there's not much more to this story other than the
characterization of Nabiki that it's asking us to accept.
