Hey Jim!

This One Pound Ranma story basically removes the Shadow
characters/scenes from Shadow Files: One Pound Ranma.

Good. When I read the originally read the story, I kept thinking *This
would be much better without the shadow parts*. Granted, they were funny,
but not only did they interfere with the mood of the 'Alternate Reality',
they also it's inclusion made the whole Sister Angela revelation seem very
contrived (whether it was or not, that's your own business. But it
shouldn't -seem- that way) and just smacked too much of Akane fanboyism
for my tastes. When you mix that in with the fact that I didn't like the
original 'Destiny' fic...

Sniff... I'll just go cry in the corner now. ;)

As for OPR itself, I rather did like the ending. I also enjoyed
Nabiki's character not being modified, as many authors are prone to doing
whenever the Tendo's mother is kept alive.

Well, Nabiki always seemed to be effected by her mother's death the
least... so when it came to her in this story I didn't really see how she
would change that much. Only the friction between her and her mother
presented itself as a major change, and that's how she turned out in the
story.

Hanaki told her that Ranma died. One little white lie won't condemn her
to hell, after all.

Isn't that what they all say? ^_^

Not me... if there is a hell, I'm probably going there (I am stealing
someone else's characters after all). :)

Kasumi found her father cradling her mother in his arms. He
had run out of tears to shed long ago, but the expression on his face
told the story.
After several minutes of silence, Soun asked with a scratchy
voice, "Kasumi dear. Will you please say goodbye to your mother?"
"Of course, Father," Kasumi said. She stood up, took one of her
mother's hands in hers, and said a soft, "Goodbye, Mother. I'll keep
my promise."
