PROFESSORESS!?

I hate to break it to you, but female professors are called
professors, the same as male professors. There's no such word as
'professoress'.

This isn't QUITE true, Lurk. In some nations, the term
"Professora" is accepted as part of the language, and has been
for quite some time. It's only in politically correct countries
that the word has been abandoned.

Not true. The "politically correct" countries went straight from not
allowing women to be professors to just calling them the same thing any
other professor is called, because by that time "poetess" and
"authoress" had already been abandoned as pointless distinctions.

Probably the real issue with this story is that, given that gender roles
aren't particularly important in the storyline (both sexes can be
Pokemon trainers and don't relate to their Pokemon particularly
differently based on their gender) does it really have anywhere to go
except to retrace the steps of it's model?
