This is an ORIGINAL story. {Yes it is ORIGINAL!} Therefore I have no
copyrights to post. I would also like to apologize for part 6 appearing
on the list over and over again. I only sent it once, but it keeps on
going on, I don't know why.

WARNING: This fic contains murder, blood, and sad and demonic themes.
That's why it's dark. Sorry, no rape.

Part 8 of, The seven sins and virtues......

Everything is screwed up in my life, there is very little left. My
whole life is falling apart. My love has no soul, and I have to rescue
her soul. My mothers dead, theres a war within me,
between my true warm love and my cold emotionless feelings. I caused it
through wanting the pain to end, through wanting to be left without
love. But it is wrong to do such, to revoke love is to revoke ones self.
And to revoke ones self is to fall into the darkness.
Do I want the darkness? No, I dont. All I want is Sarah, everything
else in my life is gone except for her. Everything is gone within me
except my hope and despair over her. The hope and despair which cause me
to have great love. A love which I cannot remove from my soul. After ten
years my love has not dimmed because it is so great, or at least thats
what Azreal told me. And the mes within myself agree. How can I
disagree with myself?
My mind is falling away now, crumbling into pieces. A picture, a
memory, is not enough to keep my sanity intact. What I need is the real
Sarah, my true love. Then, and only then, will sanity have a complete
hold on my mind and a new sense of peace come. So I go to hell to find
Sarahs soul, and to defeat Satan. After I defeat him I will be able to
reach Sarahs soul. But how will a small person like me manage to defeat
such a great foe? Only time would tell.........
I walked down a long hall, long was an understatement. It seemed to
go on forever, a long passageway to the abyss. I had been walking for at
least an hour, just in a straight line.
Nothing had changed, it was the same thing over and over again.
I looked at the walls, they were not the most pleasant thing. They
looked like flesh without skin but they were a light pink. They moved
out and then in, as in a beating motion. As the walls were beating,
blood came out of them, dark red blood. It seemed to be made to crack
the weak minded and detour the strong. But I had enough will to fight
it.
The floor below me and the ceiling above me were done in the same
way as the walls. The bleeding floor caused my feet to make a squishing
sound as I walked on them. And the ceiling bled as well. This caused
blood to fall on me one or twice. I had to wipe it of repeatedly, blood
wasnt the greatest thing to be covered in.
This whole place was evil and dark, the perfect view of hell. I
wondered if Azreal would help me in the battle against Satan, I needed
all the help I could get. And what did she mean by my hope and despair
would be my greatest weapon? It was all very confusing. My thoughts plus
the smell of blood and rotting flesh made me sick. I felt like fainting,
but I would not let such a small thing stop me.
Then I heard screams, everything seemed to be getting worse as I
went along. The blood-red light that let me see my way around got darker
and darker. The deeper I went, the more blood that came out from the
walls, ceiling and floor. Bleeding rooms, blood red light turning to
darkness, and the smell of rotting blood and flesh were bad enough. But
now screams were added onto it.
The screams of pain and death rang through the room, being amplified
by some unholy power. It seemed hell had many faces, none of them were
pleasing. They were all meant to corrupt and destroy ones mind. But I
had nothing left in my mind to destroy or corrupt. All I had left was
love, despair and hope. These three things kept me going just like the
photograph of Sarah, my dear Sarah.
Everything here pointed to something terribly bad. As though they
were waiting for me, testing me to see if I was ready to take him, or
her, or them. Whatever it was, I had to be ready. But I knew that it was
Satan who tested me, who wanted to see if I would handle him. He would
be surprised though, even though I dont know how to fight I feel a new
confidence within me, giving me the courage to fight.
I heard a scream, different from the last ones. It sounded familiar,
it was Sarah! She was screaming for help, for mercy.
I decided to run to her. I ran as hard as I could, using all my
energy up trying to reach her. Her screams got louder and louder as I
got closer, I had to help her! If she died, then so did I. Everything
depended on her.
I saw the end of the passageway, a black darkness. I ran into the
darkness, not caring what it was. Only caring if I saw Sarah again. As I
ran into the blackness, it engulfed me. All I
saw was the darkness, and then when it broke.
I walked onto a long endless plain. The ground was parched and a
light brown, cracks forming everywhere. As my feet moved across it, dust
rose, filling my lungs. The whole sky was a fiery red, not a light blue.
There were no clouds and the sun was a dark black. But it still cast the
same type of light as the normal light. Then I saw Sarah, bound to a
black cross. She was stripped naked and her head lay low, she seemed to
be beaten almost to death. Bruises and blood were all over her body,
showing the damage Satan had inflicted on her. The cross which she was
bound to was on a hill of skulls. The skulls glared at me, mocking me,
telling me that I cannot save her, but I would.
This was like my dream, the same thing as my dream. The same dream I
had always had, the same nightmare. For ten years, this image had been
the canter of my sleep, my nightmare. But only one thing had to happen
for it to be the same as the nightmare. The fire.
Sarah looked up at me, her eyes full of tears. Her face was like
fear engraved on stone, as though it would be like that forever. She
started to scream at me. Help me! They are going to kill me. Help!
I ran up to her, over the barren landscape. Up the hill of skulls
and to the cross where she was bound. I untied the black ropes freeing
her from the bondage.
She smiled at me gave me a long hug. It seemed to last forever, a
moment of joy. But nothing lasts forever. Thank you Ryan! I love you so
much! She smiled and let out a little laugh. And that laugh grew into a
spine chilling laugh, an evil laugh.
I moved back as I saw her raise her hand towards the sky and the
fire burn. Suddenly the whole area lit in fire except a small circular
path at the bottom of the hill, and the hill itself. Youre pathetic.
You really thought I was Sarah? Gullible bastard.
Then I saw her change her form. From Sarah to a dark evil figure.
The new person was a little taller then Sarah and a little shorter then
me. She wore very tight, two piece, revealing, black suit, covering very
little. Her hair had turned to a long blood red, going down o her feet
and not done very elaborately. Red horns came out from her head and
fangs were in her mouth. She had long bat like wings coming out of her
back which stretched out very far, and having a massive wing span.
Once the transformation was complete, she bowed slightly. Let me
introduce myself. My name is Lilith, mistress of hell. If you want to
see my husband, then you will have to go through me.
I nodded. I felt my sanity losing its grip on my mind. I was very
delicate now, and that little event had thrown me off the bridge of
sanity. I barely got my grip and climbed back up. I have to fight for
Sarah now, Sarah, and Sarah only. So be it.
Lilith smiled. Petty man. Ill show you the true meaning of death.
When she finished talking, she jumped down into the part of the blaze
which the fire never touched. I soon followed her, running down into it.

And so then the battle began. It was not a battle though, it was a
humiliating defeat. Using some sort of power, Lilith threw me all
around. From one end of the battlefield to another, sometimes into the
fire. I could not stop her, I was too weak. I felt the life slip out of
me, the feeling of death creeping up on me.
Then the pain stopped, I fell from the air to the ground with a
thud. I looked over to see Lilith fighting Azreal. That bitch had come
all the way here to save my life. Why did she do that?
I watched as they battled with swords. They were amazing, flowing
perfectly like a ballet. Swords clashing at each end, none of the stabs
met the target. It seemed they were of equal skill and strength, it was
a fair fight.
Azreal looked at Lilith with a frown. Ill never forgive you for
what you did. You betrayed the heavens for Satan because you loved him.
You got hundreds of angels slaughtered just for your greed. Ill see
you dead for this! I could see the rage well up in her.
Lilith was calmer though, as though she didnt care what Azreal
said. Shut up sister! At least Im no loner doing the boring mission of
good. Im enjoying my life with my husband. I dont need you to screw it
up. So just leave me be you bitch. Always bossing me around at home.
Always being the responsible one, trying to push me into doing what you
wanted me to do. It was your fault this happened. If you were nicer then
I wouldnt have done this.
The battle continued to flow, Azreals rage against Liliths calm.
It was obvious who would win. You were so irresponsible. You hurt mom
and dad so much, always doing the wrong thing. You needed someone to
straighten you out.
Lilith started to get annoyed and fought harder. Dont you talk
about doing things wrong! You and your bureaucrats banished Satan
because accidentally murdered someone. It
was not his fault he thought different! But you people banished him
because he didn't think like everyone elese. because he had free will!
Lilith began to break into tears.
He was a maniac. He had to be disposed of. He would have killed us
all if we didnt rid ourselves of him. It was for our safety!
Safety? He was only a simple craftsman, he had no problems with his
life. But you had to throw him away saying he was a problem. He was an
innocent man! He cried himself to sleep for decades after that incident.
I had to comfort him, encouraging him to pursue his dream, the dream of
returning to heaven. But it was your fault he became twisted! He asked
to talk to God, to beg him to return. But you tried to kill him for
asking. You sent hundreds of men after him! His friends protected him!
You are the bad guys. Because of what you did he couldnt return to
heaven unless he conquered it. He was then twisted into an object of
vengeance. It was your FAULT! All you angels fault! Lilith was going
over the edge.
I wondered if any of this was true, if what Lilith said was true.
Maybe she was lying to gain my favor, but I had the felling she was
serious. But how could this be. Angels were always known as the good
guys, the protectors from evil. And the fair and just. But if this was
true it could mean anything.
Azreal was just as angry as Lilith. You dont understand! We had to
remove him as a threat! We had to destroy him before it was too late. He
was a man who wanted a new age for the angels. An age of priceless peace
where everyone could do what they wanted. But if angels could do what
they wanted there would be chaos and anarchy. He was about to lead a
revolution. A revolution that would be the end of the angels. We had to
stop him!
Lilith shook her head. You were scared that he would compromise
your power! You are all greedy and you like the bitter sweet taste of
control to much. You would do anything to keep that flavor in your
mouth. Even kill!
I didnt know what side to go for. All I wanted was to see Sarah
alive and well. If only this battle would end. But then someone would
die. And it would be all my fault. I could not stand another stain of
blood on my hands, they were already stained to the bones with innocent
blood. The battle then ended.
A massive sword wound was on Azreals body. Her white clothes were
sliced and soon soaked with blood. She fell to the ground and gasped for
air as her life began to vanish like her sword did. She began to spit
liters of blood onto the ground. It never stopped. An massive pool of
blood began to form from both the wound and what she spat out. It was
sickening But she still had a chance for life, and maybe this would be
one blood stain removed from my hands.
Lilith wiped the blood of her blade and then looked at the corpse.
Goodbye, older sister. May you not rest in peace. Then in a final
blow, fire swirled around Lilith. Lilith manipulated the fire in a way
to make it like a fireball. Then she threw that ball at Azreal, knocking
her back, close to death. Now nothing could save her.
I became angry at this. But the anger vanished soon after, replaced
with hope and despair. I felt the hope and despair run through me.
Through ever pore of my body, to the deepest parts of my bones it
flowed. I felt its power raging within me, ready to be released, and so
it was.
As I released the mixture of hope and despair from my body, it
turned into a large energy blast. It was massive and purple in color. It
headed for Lilith and incinerated her on contact. She screamed as it
hit. Her scream mixed with the hundreds of others. But this one was more
fierce, as though everything within her was being ripped apart. Being
burned slowly until she was no more.
I walked over to the body of Azreal and knelt down, she was still
alive. I had only one question to ask, Was it all true?
Azreal nodded. Every last word. Lilith was right, we are
bureaucrats. Dirty, power hungry bastards. We need people like Satan
used to be before he went insane to rebuild heaven.
Few people know this but heaven is falling apart. The government is
corrupt and there ia a secret black market. We need a new peace, a new
government. But thats all in the later, not in the now. Right now you
have to go defeat Satan using that power. Using that power of hope and
despair you can beat the man. Then she died.
I left the body where it lay and the fire vanished. Everything
vanished into darkness. The darkness like that which I felt when
insanity threw me away, leaving me for dead.
Now I have to walk through this darkness, nothing being too sure. It
seems that heaven is becoming like hell. It seems Sarah is still here
and needs my help. It seems the angels are power hungry. It seems
Azreal and Lilith are sisters, both dead. Thats how things seem to me,
thats how I view the truth. But perception changes the truth. Truth
varies depending on who talks about it. Each person sees something
different. But only my perception is important to me.
I hope I see things the way they really are. I hope I finish my task
before I go insane, I know I will soon. I feel insanity rising from the
dead, ready for revenge. If only I can last a little longer. Last until
Satan is dead and I am with Sarah, my love.
If only things were as easy and simple as they sounded. But reality
seems like an illusion to me lately, a world of mixed messages and lies
that are lied about. Nothing is the truth and nothing is absolute.
Thats what life is, confusion. Not expecting anything, trying to be
surprised and dealing with that. That means that death order and
perfection. Like a perfect life.
If life is confusion, then it seems I want to be dead....
