* Sailor Moon: Magical Boy Epic * [Need A Better Title]

Note: This is an ALTERNATE REALITY story,which sort of is a gender-bender with certain characters of "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" or,
since I am using the dub NA version,just Sailor Moon. ;) I've also
changed a few things in the plot. Don't worry,in no way have I changed 
the essence of the anime saga to alienate Moonie otaku...I hope!

Second Note: For those of you who are referring me to Chris Jones's 
fanfic,Sailor Moon Reversal,I KNOW ABOUT THE FANFIC! Don't tell me
about it anymore,okay? This story has very few connections to that
work,and if you don't know about the fanfic,go to Chris's site at:

Disclaimers: In no way do I own any characters in Sailor Moon,nor do
I own any characters that make cheap cameos! While some of the people
are my creation,they still have similar traits to the Sailor Scouts
and friends you know,so I don't own those Scouts or friends. Naoko
and DiC do. Don't worry,I won't try to butcher this job like THEY did.

Episode 10: Mistaken Identity

Nephlite appeared in Queen Beryl's throne room. "You summoned me?"

"I am most disappointed in you,Nephlite," said Beryl. "Three times you
failed to get the energy we needed to release the Negaforce!"

"I apologize deeply for my errors," said Nephlite. "But as long as that
Sailor Moon and his friends keep getting in the way,I can't do a thing."

"Don't give me any excuses!" hissed Beryl. "You are beginning to sound
like that worthless fool Jadeite! Unless you want to end up like him,you
will get rid of those annoying brats and get me the energy!"

"I have the perfect plan,my queen," said Nephlite,bowing. "I plan to
destroy Sailor Moon by hitting his one weakness - Lotus Mask!"

Malachite appeared. "What makes you think that you can trap him. He
will be alert to a trap. Unless you are sure of this."

"I am positive," said Nephlite. "That foolish boy's hormones will
blind him to danger and I'll grab him and kill him on the spot! He
won't be able to resist." She giggled evilly.

"Let's hope this plan works," said Beryl. "I don't like failures."

The next afternoon,Seth found a letter addressed to him. He caught a
whiff of perfume. "A love letter?" he said in shock. "I gotta read it!"

He hurried upstairs and ripped it open. It read:

	Come to the Tokiwa Mall at 9pm,tomorrow night. I will be waiting.

	Your beloved girl,Lotus Mask

"WOW!" cried Seth,hearts in his eyes. "Lotus Mask wants me!"

Luna woke up and hear his screaming. "What?"

"Lotus Mask wants to meet me," chuckled Seth.

"That's strange," said Luna. "How did she know your identity?"

"I bet she was led to me by her love!" said Seth with a sigh. He fell
onto the bed,hugging the letter and daydreaming.

"But this is strange," said Luna. "Why would she want to talk to you
in private? I doubt she knows you enough to send love notes."

"Luna,get a clue," said Seth dreamily. "She is a super-romantic babe
who is dying with love,and needs to meet the man of her dreams,and she
can't bear to tell me about it in public. Oh boy,Ren is gonna freak!"

"I think we should be careful," warned Luna. "It could be a trap.
Seth? Are you listening?" But Seth was too far gone.

The next day,Seth was in for a shock.

"I wonder who sent the letters," said Mark,holding a note. "It just
says come to Tokiwa Mall by nine tonight."

"Yeah,mine too," said Lenny.

"Mine three," said Brandon.

"Me too," said another boy.

"Any idea who it is?" asked Mark.

"Nope," said the other boys.

Mark began to think. ~Maia Stanton seems rich. She could pull off such
an act. I've gotta find out. She's such a babe!~

Just then,Miss Haruna came in. "Okay,class," she said. "I heard about
the Lotus Mask invites and I believe it to be a popularity stunt,so
please put away those notes and we will get started."

"Yes,Miss Haruna," said the class,sitting down.

Miss Haruna turned her back and scowled. ~Why don't I get a love 
letter?~ she thought angrily. ~It's not fair!~

"It's way too weird," said Luna to Amos.

"Yeah," said Amos,fingering a similar note in his hand. "Why would
Lotus Mask suddenly have the urge to send love notes to every boy 
in the city? I bet it's a Negaverse trap to catch Sailor Moon."

"We'd better find Ren," said Luna.

Darlene Aegis scowled as she tried to get the doll from the UFO catcher.
"Come on...come on...SHOOT!" The doll of Lotus Mask fell from the claw.

"Hey,Darlene," teased Andrea. "What'cha doing with the Lotus Mask doll?"

"I wanted to get it for my place," said Darlene. "She's cute."

"Thinking of being a superhero,girlfriend?" teased Andrea.

"Ha ha,yeah right," said Darlene as Seth came in,a sad look in his face.

"Hey,Seth,what's eating you?" asked Andrea.

"I'm majorly bummed," said Seth. "There's this girl who I was gone
for,but now she's turned her back and invited every boy in Tokyo to
see her! I hate her! How could she DO such a thing!" He turned around
and smashed his fist into a video game screen.

"Hey,hey,those things cost money,Seth!" said Andrea.

Meanwhile,Ren was bed-ridden. "Sorry,Amos," said the priest with a sigh.
"I wish I could help you,but this cold had confined me to bed. I can't
read the fire to find out who is doing this."

"Shoot," said Amos. "Well,don't worry. I and Luna will look into this."

On Ren's desk was ANOTHER love note.

~The plan is going well,~ thought Nephlite as she looked out the window
of the mall. People were bustling about the place. ~Soon,Sailor Moon
will show up,and not only will I steal all his energy,but the energy of
those hormone-crazed boys as well! Beryl will be pleased.~

"Hi," said a voice. Nephlite whirled about to see Mark Baker there.
"I don't think you remember me. My name's Mark Baker."

"Oh,I know you," said Nephlite,recalling a memory. "You were at the
tennis match a couple weeks ago,right? You saw me and drooled a bit."

Mark blushed. "Well,that was because..."

"Hey,I am not modest," teased Nephlite,striking a pose. "I am pretty
cute. So,why are you here? Was there something you wanted?"

"Well,Miss Stanton..." said Mark nervously.

"Please,call me Maia. You don't need to be formal." She giggled.

"Ah,yeah," said Maia,embarrassed. "Well,me and some other boys received
a bunch of notes signed by this superhero,Lotus Mask."

"I heard," said Nephlite. "And you think I am she?" She then felt a
strange force coming from Mark. ~What is this? This energy is strong!~

"Well,you could pull this stunt off," said Mark. "Nah,too silly."

"No,it's not," said Nephlite. "Actually,I bet a moonlight rendevous
would be rather romantic." Mark blushed. "Mark,you are the cutest guy
I have ever met,and I've been surrounded by ugliness." She patted his
cheek. "I hope we meet again someday,I honestly do." She left.

~It's her,~ sighed Mark,holding his cheek. ~I know it.~ He went to
the roof and daydreamed about Maia Stanton. ~I'll be there,Maia.~

Meanwhile,Seth was busy primping up. "Well,maybe all those OTHER
boys will be there at nine,but I am going to go a few minutes early
and find out the truth behind this stunt." He smiled as he bathed,
dried off,and put on a nice outfit. "You are looking good,Seth."

It was 8:30pm. A boy wearing a red boy's suit entered the mall,and
was a bit surprised to see the doors open so easily. "Hello?" Mark
said. "Anyone here?" He walked cautiously into the dark mall.

Just then,the lights flared on and Mark turned to see...Lotus Mask!?
It was actually Nephlite in a Lotus Mask costume.

"Hello," she said demurely,trying to hide her voice.

"Oh! It's you!" said Mark with a sigh.

"Well,you came early," said Nephlite.

"I had to see you," said Mark with a smile.

"Anyone with you?" asked Nephlite,hoping it wasn't a trap.

"No way,I don't need anyone to tell you how I feel," said Mark. "Come
here. I won't try to rape you. I just want to talk."

Nephlite smiled as she came down the escalator. "Go ahead."

"Come closer," teased Mark. "I won't bite you. Honest!"

Nephlite leapt and landed before him. "It's nice to see you..." She
throttled him! "Sailor Moon. I've got you now!"

"Huh?" asked Mark. "What are you saying?"

"Admit it,you are Sailor Moon!" snarled Nephlite.

Seth was wandering about the mall aimlessly. "Hmm,better talk to the
others," he thought aloud. He activated his communicator. "Guys,I'm
going over to the mall. I'll meet you later." He signed off.

"WHAT?!" screamed Ren,bolting up. "He's gonna get Lotus Mask! I can't
let that happen!" He then coughed a bit.

"You're still sick," said Amos. "We'll take of it."

"Why do you think I am Sailor Moon?!" begged Mark as Nephlite's hand
was strangling him. "I am not him,honest!"

"But your energy is strong," hissed Nephlite,touching his forehead.
"You must be Sailor Moon!" She began to suck his energy up.

"I..." Mark said before he blacked out.

Nephlite gasped. ~This energy! No wonder! This isn't just some hormone
kick! It's the energy of true love!~ "Urk," she said. "It's affecting
me...it has a highly infectous quality. Better hurry and get it all."

Seth saw this and gasped. "Mark!" he said. ~That can't be Lotus Mask!
That bitch has gotta be with the Negaverse!~ "MOON PRISM POWER!"

Elsewhere,Darlene was walking home when she felt the ringing and
headaches. "Oh no...not again! AH! ARGH!" She clutched her head
and fell to her knees as energy covered her body. When it was
over,there stood one figure....Lotus Mask!

"Excellent," said Nephlite,holding the energy. She let go of Mark.
"This energy will serve Beryl immensely." She sent the orb to Beryl.

"You!" shouted a voice. Nephlite turned to see Sailor Moon. "You
slimeball bitch! Nobody pretends to be the woman I love! I am Sailor
Moon,Champion of Justice,and in the name of the moon,you're dust!"

"Welcome,Sailor Moon," said Nephlite,ripping off the kimono. Don't
worry folks,she had her uniform underneath. "Nice to see you."

"Who are you?" demanded Sailor Moon.

"I am Nephlite,the successor of Jadeite,who is sleeping in crystal,
thanks to your efforts," giggled Nephlite as she doffed her mask
and put it between her fingers. "I thank you for removing him. But
now,I will get rid of you. HA!" She turned the mask into a white spear
and threw it at Sailor Moon,who leapt away as the spear embedded itself
just inches from his foot. It then exploded and Seth clenched his
teeth as pain shot through his foot.

~She's as strong as Jadeite!~ thought Seth as Nephlite dove at him,
a blade in her hand. He turned his head away to await the end.

*THWACK!* A red lotus stopped the diving witch.

"So,I meet the jerk who impersonated me," said Lotus Mask. "Loser."

"Go to hell,bitch!" hissed Nephlite.

"Lotus Mask! I knew you weren't the one who sent those fake notes!"
sighed Sailor Moon. "What a dreamy girl."

"You okay,Sailor Moon?" asked Lotus Mask,picking him up.

"I can limp," said Sailor Moon sheepishly.

"You two don't stand a chance!" said Nephlite,teleporting to the far
end of the store. "POWER OF THE STARS...LEO SUMMON!"

Stars formed the constellation of Leo,which turned into a lion covered
with starlight! It roared deeply and charged!

"Get moving,I'll hold this cat off," said Lotus Mask,katana in her hand.

"Right," said Sailor Moon,backing up. "Hey! I can fight too!" He tore
off his bandanna. "MOON BANDANNA MAGIC!" The tiara sent the lion flying.
"Eh? Why didn't that thing dust the creature?"

"Retreat!" said Lotus Mask,grabbing Sailor Moon and hurrying into an
elevator. Nephlite giggled and slammed the doors shut,then banished
the lion. "Uh oh,I think she's got us in a trap!"

"Got that right,mask girl," giggled Nephlite,zapping the elevator.
It began to rise. "Once you hit the top,you'll be Sailor Pat�!"

"Oh no," said Seth,panicking. "We're dead meat." He turned to Lotus
Mask. "Ah...since we're gonna die,I might as well tell you..."

"Hold that thought," said Lotus Mask,grabbing him by the waist and
leaping up. She slashed open the roof and climbed out. "Hold on!"

The elevator hit the top and the cable snapped,making the car fall
twelve stories and smash to bits! "Ha ha ha!" laughed Nephlite. "Yes!
I did it! I destroyed Sailor Moon and Lotus Mask!"

The two in question,however,were hanging to the shaft wall by Lotus
Mask's katana,as she held the boy by the waist for dear life.

"Oooh..." said Sailor Moon in horror. "Don't let go! I think I am
gonna be sick!" He turned green in the face.

"Don't look down," said Lotus Mask. "Here,hang onto my back."

Seth hung onto his back and snuggled his face into it. He sniffed.
"Nice perfume you are wearing," he said.

"Never touch the stuff," said Lotus Mask.

~Then it is a natural scent,~ sighed Seth. He was happy. "So,Lotus
Mask,why do you show up at times and save my life?"

"Well,I guess because I have no choice," said Lotus Mask. "I don't
know why I do what I do,just that I do it."

"So,it's not love," said Seth.

"Well,a little," said the woman,smiling. "Somehow,I seem to know you 
from some past life." She grabbed the katana with both hands.

"Major cool," said Seth,hugging him. "This is so romantic,being in
life-threatening danger. I could hold you forever. You are such a sexy 
babe,and Mars thinks so too. Hey,what am I saying?" He blushed.

"Thanks for the flattery," teased Lotus Mask. She looked at the door
above her. ~Open,you goddamn door,so I can crawl up!~

"Hey,since you are a superhero," said Seth. "You have an alter ego."

"I do,but I don't know who I am when I am normal," said Lotus Mask.
"It is as if my alter ego and I are two distinct entities. All I know
is that I can't let anyone hurt you,ever."

The katana slipped.

"Oh no!" screamed Seth. "We're gonna die! I know it! And just when
it was getting romantic! Goodbye dad,goodbye mom!"

Just then,the doors opened and two hands grabbed Seth! "Hang on!"
said a voice as two more hands grabbed Lotus Mask and pulled them up.

"Sailor Mercury! Sailor Mars!" sighed Seth. "What a relief!"

"Why the mask?" asked Seth. No,he wasn't talking to Lotus Mask,but
Ren,who was wearing a surgical mask.

"Merc made me wear it," muttered Ren.

"You don't want to infect us with your cold," teased Amos.

"Oh,Mark!" said Seth,going to Mark. The boy was hanging limply on
Amos's back. "Is he okay? Will he recover?"

"Yeah,the energy will be restored," said Mercury.

"You three are a wonderful team," said Lotus Mask. "Keep up the good
work." She smiled and flipped off the edge of the roof.

"AH! LOTUS MASK!" cried Seth,running to the edge and looking over.
"God,how does she DO that?" Lotus Mask was gone.

Actually,she was hiding under the railing. ~Boys will be boys,~
she thought as she waited for the Scouts to leave.

Nephlite came back to Beryl,who was nursing the energy. "My queen,I
have done it. Sailor Moon and Lotus Mask..."

"Aer still alive,you fool!" said Beryl. "I saw them escape."

"Impossible!" said Nephlite.

"No mistake,Mars and Mercury saved their butts in the last second,"
snarled Beryl. "Still,this energy you gave me...it is quite powerful."

"Yes," said Nephlite,kneeling. "The energy of true love." ~But why did
it try to infect me?~ she added silently.

"Look how powerful this energy is," said Beryl with a smile. "You have
given the Negaforce a powerful boost tonight. For that,I will ignore
this newest failure. You are dismissed."

"As you wish,my queen," said Nephlite,who went to her chapel. ~The
stars know everything...Power of the stars,erase the memory of that
night's encounter from my latest target. Mark Baker must never know
about my identity as a servant of Queen Beryl."

She giggled. "Still...that energy saved me from Jadeite's fate. Still,
why do I feel strange after holding it? Could it be infectious?"
