To all:
   I have been trying to track down an _Evangelion_ fanfic which was written
and sent to the FFML some time ago but which I seem to have mislaid on my
machine.
   I wish I could remember the title. In the story Shinji, alone on the
beach with Asuka after Third Impact, suddenly realizes that "Asuka" is
actually the perfect woman of his perfect world of solitude, with
characteristics of Asuka, Rei and Misato. A soon as he does, Kaoru Nagisa
returns, congratulates him on realizing the hellish post-Third Impact world
as the artifice of Shinji's mind it is, and leads Shinji to heaven where the
real Misato, Rei and Asuka are waiting for him along with his other friends,
but not before taking him to hell, where (among others) Ritsuko, Gendo Ikari
and Lorenz Kihl are being tortured, as was Shinji, by the phantoms of their
earthly lives.
   Does anybody out there recognize this story, and if so do they by any
chance still have a copy or know where I could find one?
