Ranma's curse was an accident. It wasn't given to him deliberately in
order to force him into marriage, the way the rain curse in this story
was.

Actually, the original plan was just to make Ranma suffer, not force him 
into marriage.  I mentioned that in passing, but it wasn't completely 
spelled out.  Ranma never knew that Ukyou placed the curse on him, which 
means he doesn't know that Ukyou is the one forcing him into it.  It can't 
be rape if you don't know it's rape.
