Just an idea I've been kicking around for a while. I though I'd post
it to the ML and see if anyone likes it enough for me to write something on it.
In a the Science Division of Tokyo University, Doctor Ryo Sanzaki is
demonstrating the budding technology of Neo-Genics to the resident
techno-geeks and such. Between two large machines, a beam of green energy
arcing between them. As the good doctor is going on about the benefits
Neo-Genics will provide to the scientific and medical communities, a small
spider descends into the path of the beam...
At a cafe in Tokyo, Ranma is sitting bored out of his skull on a
so-called "date" with Akane. Genma and Soun, through Nabiki, had set it up.
They are sitting outside, Akane scowling at Ranma for being his usual
charming self.
A small arguement is brewing between them. As it grows, neither of
them notice a small spider crawling up Ranma's pants leg. The argument
escalates a bit further, the spider is now on Ranma's shirt. Seconds later,
the spider bites Ranma on the hand.
In short, Ranma soon discovers his new-found powers and equilibrium.
Through a genetic memory passed down from the spider, Ranma knows how to
manufacture web fluid. As for the web-shooters, well, any ideas?
Also, another bit I've been kicking around is a crossover between
Ranma and Resident Evil. Umbrella, Japan is conducting experiments on the
G-virus, in spite of the total cluster-fuck at Raccoon City. As they say,
those who fail to learn the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them.
The G-Virus is accidentally released in Tokyo, infecting the city
and most of the Wards. As everyone around them degenerates into zombies and
other mutations, Ranma & Co. realize that their only option is to get the
hell out of dodge. Of course, that won't be easy and some of them won't be
getting out...
As I recall, another author was interested in the project.
Unfortuately, I lost his email address and his name eludes me. I think he
goes by Kenji Murasaki on the FFML, but I'm not sure.
Well, that's it for this one. I'd appreciate any feedback you guys
and gals could give on these.
Thanks!
