Part three of, The seven sins and virtues

Sarah is back to me, I am so glad. But yet something keeps my joy
from reaching the levels which I expected. Theres something wrong with
her, something terribly wrong. Its as
though she is a different person from the one I remember even though she
acts the same. But maybe time as done this to her, maybe. It was a funny
thing that I had a different dream, a
dream away from my lost love. A dream where a crying, younger version of
me holds a treasure which he desperately tries to keep to himself. A
dream where an angel saves me from falling. Falling into death and
insanity. What does the angel represent? Does it represent anything? But
the weirdest thing is, I remember it perfectly as though it was not a
dream.
So now we leave for Sarahs house. She doesnt know that her
fathers dead, I havent been able to break it to her, I hope shell be
okay. But everything seems wrong. If only the angel in my dream could
tell me.........

Sarah and I stood in front of a large white house. It was white
brick and looked a little ugly. It was in very bad taste. Coming out of
the black roof was a brown chimney, not painted white as the rest.
Sarahs father was going to paint it white but he lost his will to live
after Sarah died. He committed suicide soon after. Then Sarahs mother
went into a deep depression and spent all of her time looking at the
photo of Sarah, hoping she would return. Now she would and
who knows what effect that would have on Sarahs mother.
I rang the doorbell and the sound of chimes could be heard through
the closed door. But no one answered. I rang it again and again, this
went on for ten minutes. Then the sound of footsteps followed the
thirtieth chime. Soon followed by someone opening the door.
It was a middle-aged woman wearing a loose white sweater and white
sweat pants that looked horrible on her. The womans green eyes were
wide with red all around them from lack of sleep. Her short brown hair
was in terrible shape and looked like it hadnt been combed in weeks. I
remembered this woman as Sarahs mother, Alice Andrews.
Alice looked at me and then at Sarah, a look of surprise in her
eyes. Sarah only smiled back as Alice leaped forward to give her only
child a hug. The woman wept as she hugged Sarah, never wanting to let go
in fear of losing her again.
I watched and smiled, the first real smile that I have let fall
across my face in a long time. To see two long lost family members
united after so long was a great event. Yet, something was wrong, I felt
it.
Finally Alice broke the hug and wiped the tears from her eyes.
Please, you two come in. Well have some tea and talk.
Sarah and I agreed so we entered the house and Sarah closed the door
behind her.

As we all sat down in the dinning room, I couldnt help but to look
at all the engrossing objects. The cabinet full of fine china. The
variety of marinates that were on a shelf. The plants hanging from the
ceiling. The fine, pink couch, which they sat on. The nice chair which
Alice sat on. And the table where are tea cups lay.
The tea cups were taken from the cabinet. They were a nice white
with blue designs all over them. The teapot was the same except it had
some gold color on it. This made me think of how rich the Andrews was.
But they were kind. They were generous. Giving all they could to the
poor. They were all around virtuous people in this aspect. And Sarah was
like them, thats why I loved her.
Alice smiled as she took a sip of her tea. She then laid it on a
silver plate and posed the question which I knew she would ask. Where
have you been all this time? Alice seemed worried but happy at the same
time, I couldnt blame her. But something still wasnt right, something
that I could not decipher.
Sarah looked down at the floor with an odd look on her face. I
dont know. Everything is a blank to me after the day I walked back from
school with Ryan.
I could tell she was lying. But why would she lie like that? Why
would she not remember ten years and how could she vanish like that.
Something was definitely wrong. But if I act to fast I might loose the
advantage of surprise which I have.
Sarah then posed her own question. Wheres dad?
A look of despair swept over Alices face as she took another sip of
the tea. Im sorry. But after your death he killed himself in a state
of depression.
Sarah nodded. It was better to accept things the way they are then
to fight the truth. A horrible reality, but reality was a cruel master.
I then had another vision like the one the other day when I was
walking home from school. This one was darker.
The sky as I saw it was a blood red. The clouds were a dark black
upon the red backdrop. Then the clouds released a rain of blood upon the
city of Toronto, where I lived. As the blood touched the ground, it
created fire. Like that in the deepest bowels of hell it burned a red
fire. Buildings exploded as red fire filled the city. Smoke rose and was
absorbed into the clouds which released drop of cloud after blood.
People walking around spontaneously combusted on the spot. Other bodies
exploded releasing their innards all over the city. As the blood flowed
from the dead it rose up into the sky, creating a cycle of blood rain
that could never end until all people were dead. Then beams of black
light came from the sky to become the scourge of mankind. Like hell fire
it rampaged through the city. The scourge of mankind.
I then soon snapped out of it and passed out. Falling headfirst into
the table and shattering some china. When my head hit the wooden table,
it ricochets off and my whole body fell to the carpeted floor.
Everything was black.

I awake in the world of dreams yet again. The shadows surrounded me
and engulf me as it was the many times before. However, this time
something is different, different then the usual dream. The little kid
version of me is running around screaming. He is running towards an all
black figure. No humanly features showed, he was like a shadow.
The shadow held the object which the little kid had before and was
keeping it away from the kid. The shadow sadistically laughed as the kid
tried to get it back, pleaded for it.
Please give it back to me! I will do anything! Just let me have
it. The kid then broke down on his knees and began to cry.
The shadow seemed amused at this opportunity. You say you will do
anything for it? How about give me your soul? Will you do that? If you
do, you will get the picture back and no one will ever try to take it
from you again. The shadows voice sounded like the cold specter of
death, about to take its next victim.
The little kid looked up, his eyes red from crying. He nodded.
Yes, just give me it. Its the only thing that keeps me going. Just
hand it back, please! Ill give you my soul!
The shadow put his hand outwards, his palm facing the kid. Then it
shall be. A black light then glowed around his hand. It swirled and
engulfed the hand, swallowing it in darkness.
I then heard a sharp cry from the shadow as a blade pierced where
his heart should be. Then the blade vanished and the shadow turned
around.
I noticed that it was the angel from before, the one who saved me
from the fall. Who saved me from insanity so that I could see my love
again.
The shadow hissed at the angel as she hovered. Damn you Azreal!
Hes mine! You have no jurisdiction here!
The angel known as Azreal shook her head. I do have the right. I
have been assigned here. Also the world would be a much better place if
you were dead.
The shadow nodded. Maybe, but you will never catch me. I have been
hiding for a long time. No petty angel will catch me. I have taken down
many like you before who thought they could stop me. You will not be the
last. Then the shadow vanished, soon followed by the angel.
The little object fell to the floor. I couldnt tell what it was,
only that it was there. The little kid ran over to it and picked it up,
holding it tightly to his chest. I will never let this go. Never.
And then I vanished from this plain of reality to return to the one
I lived in.

I awoke to see that I was lying on a bed. Alice and Sarah were
looming over me. I had a moist towel over my forehead, and a band-aid.
Sarah smiled down at me. Good, youre awake. Are you okay?
I nodded at her and got up. I felt no pain as I began to walk out of
the small room. I wanted to go for a walk, let my head clear. No one
made a move to stop me, they knew that I needed some fresh air. I said
my goodbyes and walked out of the room.
I thought that if Sarah ever came back that I would never leave her
side, not for a second. But I could not stay, not with that look in her
eye. Her mother never noticed it but I did. She had a look of innocence,
but there was something beneath. It was a mask to hide the hatred and
lust within. The lust for what? I really didnt want to know. She was
not the Sarah I knew, she was someone different. I only hoped she would
become normal again, I had waited so long.
What was that in my dream, the thing which haunted me? A shadow. Was
it a representation of my anger and hatred, of my insanity, of the seven
sins within me? The source of all my dark emotions. Or someone else? A
person. And the angel. Did she represent the good in me, the seven
virtues? The source of all my kindness and humanity. Or was she also a
different person who came here only to fight the shadow? It was so hard
to tell if something in the dream had a real meaning, no meaning or a
symbolic meaning. But such thoughts made me feel worse and I walked to
make me feel better. Nothing would disturb my walk. But I knew I
couldnt stop my curiosity, it was just too powerful. So I just thought
as I walked. Thought as I skipped school.
I thought someone was watching me all the way through the walk. But
every time I looked behind me, no one was there. But the weirdest thing
was that I felt like I was being watched from the inside, not the
outside.
