Kiki's Delivery Service + Mamono Hunter Yohko = Mamono Hunter Kiki:

This is one where the animators said "Let's make Kiki's broom a
soul-weapon!"  and let it run from there.  Her devil hunter's uniform
consists of her witch dress with a yin-yang sign on it.

You're too late.  It's already been done in an anime called Combustable
Campuss Guardress.  Granted, it was just a 10 second gag, but it *was* a
soul-broom.  It also features special attacks including washing
machines, porno books, pachinko, 'Housewife Noodles', and the 'Doggy
Bow-Wow Punch' among others.

Damn.  And here I thought I was being original.  I think I might have gotten 
that New AD Tank Police Files thing from Lemon Sherbet too, now that I think 
of it...

On the other hand, the point behind the joke was that this is KIKI who's 
doing the mamono-hunting.  The Soul-broom was just something tacked on as a 
description of what it would probably be like.  In this case, the gag's in 
the title...
