Part 2 of, The seven sins, and virtues....

A blackness was all around me. Swirling around me, embracing me,
binding me into the darkness. It was a cold, lonely darkness which
seemed to freeze my blood.
But this was just a nightmare, a variation of the one I endured each
night. The nightmare which stopped me from peace. No rest in sleep or in
the world of the awake. Peace would only be found in death. But I could
not kill myself, no matter how much I wanted to. The hope of finding my
love again kept me along. Hope had made sure I could not release the
dream that she would return. A dream, a hope which made my life a living
hell. But why could I not release my sorrow. Why?
I looked around the darkness, there was only darkness, nothing else
to see. I walked on a ground which I could not see. A floor that kept me
from falling eternally into the abyss below, the abyss of madness. I
felt like the floor would give way, I was prepared for madness but
something would not remove this floor. This floor was projected by my
mind to stop me from going insane, but what sustained it? Was it my
hope? I doubt it. Something else was holding it.
Then I heard crying, I do not remember crying in my other dreams.
Maybe I would finally see something different, something that will not
torture me. But the chances are slim.
The crying seemed to come from behind me. A soft, childlike cry,
almost a whimper. But it could be heard very well. How could I not
listen to my own mind? An impossible thing to accomplish. You can ignore
your mind but never could you not hear its words. Words that became
engraved on your conscience if ignored.
I moved towards the sound of crying. As I moved closer, I could hear
it better. Whoever was crying in my mind must be a part of me. No one
could enter anothers mind, anothers dream. The dreams were your own.
The images a projection of what you felt and what you thought of.
Then an image appeared in front of me, faint, a very faint image. As
I moved closer it became easier to see, more into this realm. It was a
little kid curled up crying. He had black hair and brown eyes and looked
exactly like me. Like a miniature version of me. The child was holding
onto something but I couldnt see it, he protected it well.
The little kid looked up at me. His eyes were turning red from
crying. Even though he saw me, he continued to cry. Go away mister.
Leave me alone. Just leave me alone.
But I continued to move closer until I was near him then I looked at
his curled up body. Why do you want to be alone?
The kid sniffled. It hurts too much. Everyone I see, everyone who
has a trace of hope or happiness makes me feel bad. You have hope in
your eyes. You mock me like the others. Just leave me alone!
The kid then threw his head up. tears flew all around and then he
vanished, as did the floor below me.
I fell into the blackness, into insanity. A fate that I had expected
for so long. Maybe I would find peace, maybe. I stopped falling though,
I didnt know why. Then I looked below me to see a blanket of white
light blocking my fall. It radiated a holy light which almost blinded
me. It was white, a light color and therefore it never existed in my
dark world.
But then a figure approached me. She walked on the blanket of light
with a look of serenity on her face. She looked like an angel. Standing
almost as tall as me and carrying a feel of dignity as she walked. But
it did not look like she was walking as much hovering. She wore a long,
flowing, white robe. Her hair was a long shiny blond which stretched
down to her feet. Her eyes were a light blue and looked down at him with
a look of care. She had large dove like wings which came out from her
back and had a great span. She looked magnificent in all her glory and
powerful in the ways of the righteous.
The angel moved towards my body as I lay on the blanket of light. I
could not get up for some reason, something was holding me down. Then
the angel was above me and she held her hand down to me.
I grabbed onto her hand lightly and she slowly pulled me up to a
standing position. The womans hand was a milky white and silky smooth.
She had pulled me up with grace as not to remove my dignity by needing
her help.
When I stood up, she vanished, and as did my dream.

The alarm clock rung loudly, interrupting my long nightmare. If the
alarm didnt rig, maybe I would have found out why and how she blocked
my fall, maybe. But I quickly got up and decided not to change from my
black clothes. It made no difference if I changed or not. I had no
friends, no one would talk to me anymore. They all left me alone with my
memories. They were afraid of me and my hopes that Sarah would return.
I walked over to the mirror and straightened up my hair. It was not
like anyone would notice me. I was so depressing that people wanted to
pretend I did not exist. They wanted to pretend that sorrow did not
exist. Ignorance is bliss. But if something bad happens to them they
think it is someone elses fault. They blame it on some others but it is
usually their fault.
I then decided to go down for breakfast, toast and orange-juice, the
usual. No one would meet me down there. Mom worked from seven in the
morning to two thirty in the afternoon. I dont know where she works,
and I dont want to know.
As I ran down the stairs, I wondered how long this would go on for.
Me, running down the stairs with no one else to talk to. To be left with
my self-pity, the feeling which burned through my soul.
When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I immediately went to get
my breakfast. The thoughts of despair ran through me like a flowing
river. But I did not stop, the hope of her return powered me to move on
through the darkness. But why did I fight this so much? Why can I stand
to such a powerful foe? My greatest enemy was myself.
After making my breakfast I began to eat. I chewed slowly, the
thought of how I could not cry. I had not cried for a very long time. I
could think of her for hours, how much I loved her, how much I missed
her. But I never cried. Maybe I had no more tears to shed. Maybe his
eyes could not keep up with his heart. Maybe.
I looked at the time now that I was finished. It was 8:01, time to
go. I got up my book bag and slung it over my shoulder. I never did my
homework because I fell asleep so early yesterday, I was so tired. Im
prepared for hell from my teachers, they shouldnt care, it makes no
difference to their life if one student fails. But I had teachers who,
care, about their students future, a rare sight indeed.
I then locked the door behind me and left for school.

As Im walked down the same street as I usually do, as I did with
Sarah. The memories of how she vanished while walking back from school
was always strongest when I walked this path. Maybe I walked it because
I never wanted to forget, never want to love another, and I hadnt.
The sky above me was covered in clouds, dark black clouds, ready to
rain. The clouds blocked the sun and then the rain began to pour. It
pelted down on everything as people ran for cover. People in cars seemed
agitated and a cat no very far from me ran, trying to escape from the
rain.
This was how I felt. My heart and mind clouded with despair. My
sorrow coming down on me like rain. This was everything I felt, wrapped
into one. As though the world did this to mock me, never letting me
forget what had happened.
Then I saw something in the rain, a figure looking at the pavement
of the sidewalk. From what I could tell it was a she, a very beautiful
she. She then looked up at all the cars driving by and all the buildings
all around. Then I couldnt believe it, it was Sarah.
She wore light blue jeans and a red te-shirt that were a little too
small for her. Her dark black hair was left lying free as it always was.
Her black eyes filled with gentleness touched me in a way which seemed
as distant as a dream but was a memory. She was taller then when I last
saw her ten years before, which was understandable. She looked just the
way I pictured her looking at the age of twenty-five. Her pale skin was
covered in goose bumps. It was very cold and she never had a jacket, but
I did.
I ran over to her, she never heard my feet hit against the ground,
it was muffled by the sound of rain. I took off my black summer jacket
and put it over her cold skin. She gladly accepted it without looking
back. When she finally looked back, she was surprised. Ryan?
I nodded. Sarah. Your, your......... back. I began to cry as I
just hugged her. She hugged back for a while. People were watching but I
didnt care.
We finally stopped hugging and broke away. So I posed the question.
Where have you been for the past ten years?
She seemed shocked by that. Ten years? Are you sure? I dont
remember anything after the day we were walking back from school.
I wiped the tears away and smiled. Thats okay. Im sure the
memories will come back. Lets go to your parents."
Sarah nodded. Yes, thats a good idea. After ten years they surely
want to see me.
And so they left for Sarahs house.

Hope you like the fic so far, I try to make it good. I don't know how
long it will be. Please send C and C or flames, either way as long as
you read it and enjoy it. If you do like it, please say, it inspiers me.

Also to response of one C and C on my first part. The conflict
doesn't really start until the fourth part, but it kinda starts on part
three, sorta. I like setting up a large stage before the play starts.
Allways works.
