Regarding that, I can't add any more that what's been said.
Ranma has a lot of flexibility that stuff like Maison Ikkoku
and Evangelion don't have.  And of course, the opportunity
for exposure is so much greater than most.

Ranma may have more felxibility than other fics becuse it si so out there 
but that means they lack challenge. With things like maison ikkoku and 
evangelion there is the capability to come up with amazing plot twists drama 
and everythignn There have been some new fics out htere about other anime 
series. I have just been screwed fro work this past month so it lacks C&C. I 
am not bashing Ranma writers or naything liek that. I believe that people 
should write what they want. I just wish there was a way to seperat the 
ranma from the other stuff since it floods my e-mail account everyday. I 
just personaly enjoy fics that are more dramatic then anything else. Where 
as Ranma is more comedy. Maybe people write Ranam becuse it is easier then 
most things or because they enjoy it more. But varitey would be better I 
think. things can abeocme so palyed out eventually and I personally find 50 
new ranam fics everyday kind of old.
