Unfortunately part of the problem of C&C are people like me. I
read, and
enjoy many stories, but don't comment on them. I think, "Someone else
will,
there are so many people I've seen C&C from that can do it so much
better
than me."
I'm trying to break out of that habit, but it's hard. Any habit is
hard to break if you've had it long enough. I'll try and do better in
the future.
I admit, my own output of C&C has PLUMMETED. And to all the folks I
used to give more responses to, I'm sorry for that--I think I've beaten
my schedule into shape now, though.
Oh, another problem I have is I HATE reading a story twice in a
short
period of time. When I first read something, and I like it, I don't
want
to waste a single second C&Cing, when I could be getting further into
the
story. Once I've finished reading, I have a VERY hard time going back
through it, no matter how good it is. Another thing I need to work on
I
suppose.
My trick for this is very simple--read the story in "Reply" mode. Lets
you type your gut responses on the run, and means that by the time you
get to the end, all you need to do is type your name, maybe a quick
final response and hit SEND. Naturally, if you want to go public, you
need to change the address line, too. It still makes things go faster.
