This *is* a crossover, actually. It's part of the Seven Samurai of

Anime

project. You can find everything else that's been written so far

Oh!  That explains a lot.  I thought that SSoA was just a group of
authors helping each other write fics, like Toledo Zoo.  (Sorry,
forget the exact spelling on that.)  I wasn't aware it was an actual
collaborative writing project.  That explains a lot about the story.

Vincent, you may want to put a more descriptive disclaimer at the top
of your story to avoid confusion.  :)
