Subject: [FFML] Question?
Date: Wed, 09 Jun 1999 16:29:21 -0230
Question? I'm wondering, does anyone know why there are so few darks >on
the list. There's only been like two dozen this year at most and >DOZENS of
other fics. Why?
Maybe because folk don't feel like writing them? Why are there no
Sailor Moon/Domination of the Draka/Gor crossover fics? Or Neon Genesis
Evangelion/Smurfs/Teletubbies fics?
Sailor Draka of Gor
Trask of Testosteronia, a muscular man dressed in a vaguely toga-like
garment, stands facing Sailor Draka, a genetically engineered post-human
female who strongly resembles a sixteen-year-old girl. She is dressed in a
black uniform, her red hair pulled back in two pigtails. The setting is an
open square in what appears to be a cross between ancient Athens as
envisioned by a 1950s American set-designer and a "city of the future" from
a Golden Age pulp illustration.
Trask: "Insolent female! Now you prance about in your mock-boy costume,
denying your true feminine nature, but soon you will realise that this is
Gor, not Earth! You will lose the anti-biological conditioning of your home
planet, and find your true place at the feet of a Master!"
Sailor Draka: "I am Sailor Draka, champion of the Race! In the name of
the State, I will place all the universe beneath the Yoke! Insolent feral
serf, I will punish you! Draka Bushknife Strike!"
Cut to Rask's severed head, wearing an expression of surprise as it hurtles
through the air, coming to a sudden (and messy) stop against one of the
techno-Attic skyscrapers.
Neon EvanSmurfion
A cityscape of giant mushrooms, its streets thronged by small blue people
in white Phrygian caps. This is Smurf-Village-3, rebuilt on the site of the
previous Smurf-Village after its complete destruction by the Second Impact.
Quite suddenly, Tinky-Winkyel, the Fourth Tellytubby, a purple figure,
shaped like an oversized toddler, appears on the horizon. Its head is
topped by a triangular antenna-like structure and its stomach is taken up
with what appears to be a television screen. In one hand it carries
something strongly reminiscent of a handbag.
As it toddles toward the city, alarm klaxons sound. The small blue people
run for underground shelters, and the mushroom-buildings begin to sink into
the ground. A squadron of armored vehicles, looking pitifully small against
the bulk of Tinky-Winkyel, moves to give battle.
Cut to SMURF headquarters, the last hope of Smurf-Village-3 and all
Smurfkind. In a cavernous underground room, Ikari Shinji-Smurf, a slender
blue boy of some fourteen years, enters the Multi-purpose Smurfoid Fighting
Machine EvanSmurfion.
