There have been quite a few fics lately that deal with manbers of the
Ranma cast falling into springs, and emerging as super heros and villians.
With such well known authors taking a shot at this genre, how could I not
ruin it for them? ^_^

Disclaimer: Neither the characters of Ranma 1/2, nor any characters from
any other series appearing in the work, whether animated or comic, belong
to me.

A Real Super Hero

	"This?"

"Spring of Drowned Cat, sir. A very tragic..."

	"This one?"

"This, sir, is the Spring of Drowned Girl. One thou..."

	"And what of this?"

"Spring of Drowned Pikachu. Tragic, because it makes more of
them."

Kuno Tatewaki snorted. "Spare me your stories, Guide. I wish
only to hear what I wish to hear."

Too true, though the Guide, though he was wise enough not to voice
his opinion. And in silence, broken only for the Guide to occasionally
give a name of a spring, they trode onwards.

Not too much later, Tatewaki was shouting in anger. "Those women
swore it was here! Where could it be?"

"What might you be looking for, sir?" asked the Guide. While he
was not feeling quite up to helping this arrogant boy, the sooner the
moron was finished with his business, the sooner he could leave.

"Why, tis a simple ambition for one so humble and skilled as I.
Twas just yesterday, when I learned of these wonderous springs, and I wish
find the Spring of Drowned Hero, and obtain a goodly sum of its waters for
my own use."

"Ah, Customer is mistaken! There is no Spring of Drowned Hero."
At Tatewaki's frown, the Guide hurried to find an alternate explaination.
"However, right this way is the Spring of Super Hero, which is maybe what
they mean? It is deep within the valley, and not easily accessible..."

Soon, after a two hours of walking, the pair of men had reached
the center of the valley, and stood in front of a spring. This particular
spring was different than the others, in that there was a splashguard
waist-high around the perimeter, and several poles with large hooks lay
close by. An extremely long piece of china lay about ten feet away. Even
more interesting was the fact that this spring was without neighbors.
The closest cursed spring was over a hundred meters away.

"The Spring of Super Hero is much different than the rest of the
springs, Mr Customer, but no less tragic. Two thousand years ago, a man
of great magical powers sacrificed himself here to feed the starving
Amazon Village...no, Mr Customer! What are you doing?"

The Guide would have continued, but Tatewaki, upon understanding
that this was the spring that he sought, leapt into the pool, heedless of
the Guide's cry. With a loud spash, Tatewaki hit the surface, and was
quickly submerged. The Guide would have been spashed, had the splash
guards not been in place. With a sigh, he began to heat some ordinary
water in a nearby kettle, knowing that it would probably be for nought,
but feeling the need to try anyway.

Tatewaki surfaced. With a sigh, the Guide grabbed one of the long
poles, and began to leverage it underneath the bread. He had to be quick,
since the spring's waters would quickly soak through the bread, turning it
mushy. But with the ease of one with much practice, he managed to life the
sandwich from the bubbling pool without touching the waters himself. He
then carefully (oh, so carefully) moved it onto the large piece of china
close by, losing very little of the fillings.

The whistle of the kettle pierced the quiet bubbling of the nearby
pools, and the Guide quicky grabbed the kettle, and poured it onto the
gigantic hero. Nothing happened. With a small sigh, he quietly continued
his narrative. "This spring is much different, because the spring changes
the unfortunate into something inanimate, and therfore dead. The Spring
of Super Hero is truly one linked with tales of virtuous self-sacrifice.
But the Amazon nation is not in a time of need, so I had not thought..."
The Guide shook his head in frustration..

After a minute, the Guide rose, and began walking back to his
house. "And now, Mr. Customer, I must contact the Amazon village, and
inform them that there is a feast scheduled this evening, before you
spoil. Can't let good food go to waste, you know."

Notes:

If you were reading carefully, you'll notice that I never said that it was
a Spring of Drowned Super Hero. ^_^

C&C welcome! More bad puns welcome! Flames stored in /dev/null (it must
be pretty full by now).

The sardines weren't worth the trouble. A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode. Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.

One look at his face and I knew that I was betrayed. "Tell me."
I insisted. He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance. Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao." he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
I heard the sounds of a door splintering as I left through the
window, one step ahead of Tendo Heavy Industries...
