After spending four years as a haole (not so polite term for a white
guy) in Hawai'i and traveling around the Pacific, I learned to tell the
difference between Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, Hawai'ians, Guamanians,
Samoans, Maori, Fillipinos, etc; with just a brief glance. All it takes
is a little exposure in a true Asian melting pot - the island of Oahu.
