I actually like this idea a lot...I just had a few questions aabout your
idea...

In a message dated 99-06-08 20:16:06 EDT, you write:

<< What if, while in China, Genma does to Ranma what Heihachi Mishima
does to Kazuya in the Tekken anime? For those that have never seen/played
Tekken, Heihachi threw Kazuya off a cliff when he was still a boy citing
that lions pushed their cubs off and raised only those that climbed back up.

Well, Ranma climbed back up to find that Genma had left...

Nine years later, Genma pops up at the Tendo Dojo with a boy named
Ryoga in tow. Genma explains to Soun that his son, Ranma, had died in a
training accident. He also says that he had adopted Ryoga as his own when he
found the boy had been orphaned. Soun buys it, and the two engage Ryoga to
one of the Tendo daughters as in the canon.
(I myself think this would be especially funny/weird if he was engaged to one
of the other girls, Kasumi coming to mind in particular. IMHO It would be
quite a scene if you made Ryouga a kind hero engaged to gentle Kasumi &
defending her from harm...)

Things go somewhat smoothly, until a certain lost Saotome shows up
one day, wanting revenge...( My main question here is, is Ranma just mad at
Genma, or is he an evil sociopath as in "Ill Met By Starlight"? You could
really make him interesting were he a vicious fighter intent on dominating
Nerima)

Well, what do you think? I'd appreciate any and all feedback on
this, positive or negative. On a side note, I was thinking of Ryoga getting
the girl curse when/if the two ever visit Jusenkyo.>>

(This would be interesting, but it's been done a lot. Why not a different
curse or an altogether new one? And consider this: Ranma fell from said cliff
into Jusenkyo, which Genma was unwittingly standing over, and he falls into
the spring of drowned devil, and gets the form of Devil from Tekken 2? That
would present an excellent foe for Ryouga.)

My only other question is, how else would this intersect with Tekken,
aside from situations? Are you considering cameos/steady roles by other
Tekken regulars? (HINT: Paul vs. Ryouga!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Again, I like this
idea a lot.
