It sounds like that it could be interesting, but after Ranma gets his
revenge on Genma, whatever it might be, thats pretty much it, right? I
don't see an immediate motive for Ranma to hate Ryoga, much less strike
out at him countless times. If you were, it might just as well be
retelling the original story, just with a character reversal of Ranma and
Ryoga. I'm not so sure I would like to read that.

...in my opinion.

What could possibly make it alittle more interesting is if Ranma came back
slightly more bitter and dark than canon, but a very good Martial Artist.
As it was, Ukyo had devoted 10 years of harsh training to her "revenge"
against the two Saotome males. As seen before, when Ranma puts his mind
to something, he gets it done, and gets it done good. Ranma training for
revenge could mean that he gets very good, very fast. Since he is in
China, he might even stumble upon a certian Amazon village. Since
he doesn't have (or know of any) engagements, he might not be adverse to
being married to one of them. Not saying that you should add this to your
story or not, be he could take his "Wife" with him, along with some of her
sisters back to Japan to forfill his long awaited meeting with his Father.
It might be better if you were to have someone else other than Shampoo,
providing she is not already in love with Ranma, but one of her sisters
that challenges Ryoga.

I don't know anymore, this plot is already getting too complicated. It's
your story dude, make it however you want.

As an afterthought, if Genma got Ryoga a Jyusenkyo curse, Ryoga might
consider getting away from the old fool citing that 'this curse was the
last straw.' Genma probably couldn't have had the hold on Ryoga that he
had on Ranma because Genma is not even his biological father. Ryoga would
probably be better elsewhere. Ryoga is not Ranma, even by spending some
years with Genma, Ryoga would not pick up the same quirks that his
counterpart has. Just because Ryoga is not traveling with Genma though,
doesn't mean he makes it to the Tendo Dojo.....

The idea of throwing Ranma off of a cliff for training, in addition to the
Nekoken training would be cool. Having Ranma fall into the Spring of
Drowned Devil? Nah.. Having Ranma fall into Spring of Drowned Tiger like
in Mr. Sharp's 'Cat Scratch Fever,' that was funny.

Here we go, folks, with yet another idea from the twisted mind of
Jed Bidwell.

What if, while in China, Genma does to Ranma what Heihachi Mishima
does to Kazuya in the Tekken anime? For those that have never seen/played
Tekken, Heihachi threw Kazuya off a cliff when he was still a boy citing
that lions pushed their cubs off and raised only those that climbed back up.

Well, Ranma climbed back up to find that Genma had left...

Nine years later, Genma pops up at the Tendo Dojo with a boy named
Ryoga in tow. Genma explains to Soun that his son, Ranma, had died in a
training accident. He also says that he had adopted Ryoga as his own when he
found the boy had been orphaned. Soun buys it, and the two engage Ryoga to
one of the Tendo daughters as in the canon.

Things go somewhat smoothly, until a certain lost Saotome shows up
one day, wanting revenge...

Well, what do you think? I'd appreciate any and all feedback on
this, positive or negative. On a side note, I was thinking of Ryoga getting
the girl curse when/if the two ever visit Jusenkyo.
