Hello all! I have just returned from my first con! A-kon 10.

[I actually caught his second talk.  He is pretty damn funny.

After that I noticed that novelist P.N. Elrod was giving his talk. I went
into the room and sat down. Elrod wasn't in site, some woman with a really
big hat was talking. I tapped the guy in front of me and asked who she was.
P.N. ELROD IS A WOMAN!!! 

[He's a woman baby!!!!]

 You can rest assured that acording to Elrod he
actually wrote his part of the book. (Even Will Shatner didn't write the
Tech-war novels.)

[Geez, couldn't you figure that out from his songs?]

After that I wandered around and then went back to my room.

at 7:30 I went down to the lobby and met Bastion Fitsroy, a pre-reader and
friend. 

[And who, BTW, is not to be confused as a woman.....Right Doug?]

(Isn't it nifty that you cna call someone a friend even if you've
never met them?) We talked till 8 when somemore FFML people shoed up.

[Well, Doug, you're my special friend <evil grin>.  And I still think Matrix wasn't
 all that good....]

Richard Lawson, Zen, lara Bartram, Sean Gaffney, and others. Zen was sans
spatula. Zen looks like he should be on the back of a harley. gaffney looks
like 'Mathew' from Newsradio, only no glasses. Richard remindes me of the
guy who I buy my comics from. 

[Strange, I kinda thought they looked like fanfic authors to me <evil grin>.]

We went to Fudruckers for dinner. I sat
between Lara and late arriving Richard (he took a wrong turn out of the
airport) 

[While I kicked Willmore's & David's little tushes at Dig-Dug.  <grin>]

I went back to the video room until the cosplay. The cos-play was good, but
long. There was one girl dressed as Lina Inverse who hadn't thought things
through on her costume, she made shoulder pads out of sheet metal and they
had shrap ends. She had to wrap the ends in plastic tape so no one got
hurt. 

[Ya know, she just about killed me with those things near Overstreet's table...]

I got into an elevator with her later she had to lean sideways so the
pads where vertical. I sat next to richard who I had to keep asking who
people where dressed as. He was real nice and never hurt me for my
stupidity. Richard Lawson is an all-around good guy. There was on group who
did an Eva bit with Kaji hitting on Ristsuko and Misato, they ended up
going off with Gendo. 

[And it just so happened that the guy who was Gendo was someone I know at UH
 and now is auditioning for a VA spot at AD Vision... That bastard <grin>]

After that I went back to my room and to bed. The next day I hit the
dealers room again and then went home.

[I checked out the Banquet at DeJesus's table, and ended sitting next to a man
 who's Pikachu Obscession rivalled even our favorite SM Lemon Author, Oscar...]

Lots of Fun. I probabaly won't be able to go next year. And next time I'm
flying!!

[No crap.  I will say this, and I will say this once:  I HATE the Dallas highways.
 Houston's are much better <sheepish grin>  Anyway, addy folks.  I'm goin' to 
 sleep on a soft surface in the first time in three days....]
