Thanx for the your support and yes I also agree on the oav being a 
bit short, they don't show enough moments between Ai and Youta plus they 
never showed what resulted from those two being in love, but the conclusion, 
I thought, was really moving. Answering your question on the fic, I 
personally thought that he never got over Moemi, but rather became so 
frustrated at her unwillingness to be with him that he simply gave up. He 
knew that she liked Nimai, but after her talk with him under the bridge he 
realized that she will never turn her affections towards him thus he realized 
that he was chasing after a dream while Ai was the reality that he choose to 
ignore. Well that is how I interpreted it, but since they never showed if Ai 
became human or what happened afterwards, this topic is pretty controversial.
