Hi.  So far no one has gotten close to correctly guessing the identity of 
the character that is after Shampoo.  First of all: he isn't a self 
insertion, he isn't suppose to be some good like fighter, and no this fic 
isn't like anything that your seen befor.  I don't believe in remaking 
stories that have been done before.  With that; I give you the third chapter 
of "TWO in ONE Combo."

Chapter 3


Akane was walking from school to her house.  Ryuoga was walking beside
her as he carried her books. They stepped lively as they occasionally
glanced in each other's direction and exchanged cheerful smiles.

Ryuoga was thinking of something to say to her, so that he could break
the silence.  He looked in her direction, and was about to speak until
he saw that she was beginning to frown.  He saw his chance and figured
out what he was going to say.

"Ah�  Akane is there something wrong?  You look upset."

"I'm still mad at that jerk Ranma!  He told me he was going to walk
home with me, but he blew me off so that he could pig out on some dim
sum that Shampoo brought him."

"Ranma is an idiot, he doesn't deserve a girl like you Akane.  He is a
loud mouth, annoying, and he doesn't care about anyone beside himself.
Just once I'd like to�"

Before Ryouga could finish speaking.  A young man jumped from atop the
rooftop that was just above their heads and landed in front of the two
of them.  Ryuoga instinctively jumped in front of Akane, and dropped
into a ready stance.  The young man raised up and began to speak.


"Please excuse me.  There is no need for that; I have not come to
fight.  I over heard you call out the name of someone that I'm looking
for: Shampoo.  Who is this Ranma that she is with?"


"He is one of the biggest jerks of all time.  Even though he's lucky
enough to have Akane as his fianc�e, he can't be satisfied with only
her.  He has to be some big shot Casanova and have two other
fianc�es."

"He's�  he's engaged to Shampoo, this girl, and another?  Does he even
love her?"

"I don't know.  He doesn't show it if he does."

"Is this the same Ranma that you just described a second ago?"

"Unfortunately, yes.  Is Shampoo a friend of yours?"

"Yes� she was.  Shampoo is with him now.   Where is  he?"

Akane pushed from behind Ryuoga and stepped up to the stranger.  She
looked him over and began to speak in a somewhat angered tone.

"Last I saw him, he was being hand feed dim sum by Shampoo.  They were
up under a cherry tree near the school.  It's right down this rode
about 7 blocks down."

He looked down the road and then back toward Akane.  He had a slightly
confused look on his face.

"I hope you do not mind, but I was wondering how this Ranma came about
the good fortune to have three fianc�es."

"His engagement to me was setup by our parents.  I never asked for
it. The jerk got engaged to Ukyo so that he could get something to
eat.  And he got engaged to Shampoo when he beat her in a fight."

"She had to marry him because of an Amazon tradition."

"Yeah�  You know about the Amazon laws?"

"Those damn laws seem to continue to make our lives difficult."

The young man bowed and thanked the two young people for their help.
He then began to run down the road very fast.  The two of them
looked at each other and then went back to walking to the dojo.  After
they walked a little under half the distance to their destination,
they say a familiar speck hopping on a stick.  It looked like she was
dragging something behind her.  Ryuoga noticed her first, and pointed
her presence out to Akane.

"Hey, isn't that Cologne?  She's moving pretty fast to be so old."

"Yeah�  I wonder what that is she's dragging."

"It looks like Mousse�"

The old lady reached them and plopped the beat up body of Mousse down.
Her two on lookers reeled as they saw the bruises on his face.

"What happen to Mousse?"

"Never mind him now, have you seen a young man wearing a torn sleeve
blue and white gi?"

"Yeah, he was just by here.   He was heading to see Shampoo and
Ranma."

"NO!  You told him where to find Shampoo and the future son-in-law.
You must take me to them now."

"What about Mousse?  Is he okay?"

"Mousse will be fine.  Now take me to Shampoo."

Ryuoga and Akane both looked at each other and then back to Cologne.
They then turned around and began to run back to the last place that
Akane saw them together.

Ranma was laying down with his back up against a tree.  He lifted his
head up to take a bite of  shrimp that Shampoo was dangling just above
his head.  Shampoo smiled as she feed him piece by piece.

"Ranma, you like."

"Yep� this is great.  You got any more pork buns?"

"Yeah, I get it now."

As she looked over to her side to get another bun for Ranma, she
noticed a young man standing not to far from her.  He was staring at
her as if he was in awe.

"Nihao, Can I help you?"

"Ah� Shampoo�  It's me, Ko di Shina."

"I sorry, but I not know you."

Ko di Shina face dropped as her word resonated into the air.  Shampoo
watched, as his heart seemed to be crushed.  Ranma lifted his head and
looked at the person that Shampoo was speaking to.

"Hey, who's this guy?"

"Ranma!  I am here to take Shampoo back with me.  I challenge you for
her."

"I not go with you, I stay here with Ranma."

Ranma stood up and stepped in front of Shampoo.  He raised his fist
and stared at Ko di Shina.

"I�  Ranma Saotome refuse no challenge.  If you want to fight me, so
be it."

"Ranma� What you doing?"

"Don't worry Shampoo.  I'll take care of this guy and be back to
finish eating in no time flat."

Ranma dropped down into his ready stance and his attacker began to
sway side to side.

"Are you going to fight or dance?!"

"Maybe I'll do both."

Ko di Shina charged in and did a sliding leg trip.  Ranma jumped over
it.  He landed and did a backward somersault kick.  Ko di Shina moved
to the side to avoid the landing attack.  He hopped over into a
handstand and began to spin.  Ranma stepped forward toward him, and
was caught by Ko di Shina's foot as he spun.  Ranma pulled back and
rubbed his bruise.  He then charged in again.  This time he ducked
under Ko di Shina's spinning legs, and managed to land a kick in on
his arm.  That caused him to topple over.

Ko di Shina hopped back up and prepared himself.  Ranma gritted his
teeth as he stared back at him.  He knew that this guy was not bad.
He would have to pull out some of his heavy artillery on him.

"Hey, you're not too bad, but I'm getting tired of playing with you.
It's time for you to say goodnight.  Get a load of this.  CHESTNUTS
ROASTING ON AN OPEN FIRE FINAL ATTACK!"

Ranma charged in with his lighting fast punching attack.  Ko di Shina
jumped back, but Ranma was to close to fully avoid.  He was forced to
block or get hit.  Ko di Shina was able to block most of the punches,
but he misjudged a few and was sent flying backward.  Ranma stopped
and watched the young man sail, but he was surprised by the site of
him readjusting his body in mid air; so that he'd land on one knee.
Ko di Shina looked back at Ranma and smirked as he held his chest
where the blows had landed.

"You know an amazon technique, I see.  I know a few too.  Here's one
for you to try on for size.  AMAZON-CAPOERA DIVING EAGLE FINAL
ATTACK!"

Ko di Shina jumped high into the air.  At the apex of his jump, he
inverted his body and began to fall back to the ground headfirst.  He
picked up speed by doing this.  As me plummeted down he changed his
body direction again by moving his legs from behind him toward Ranma.
He resembled an eagle swooping down after a fish.  Ranma was caught
up by his action and didn't jump away, he prepared to block off the
attack but he was hit by something on his side that knocked him away
from the oncoming attack.

Shampoo had managed to move Ranma to the side before Ko di Shina could
land.  As his foot made contact with the ground, a crater formed
around him.  It was about four feet in diameter.  He looked over to
the side that Ranma and Shampoo jumped to.  Ranma landed hard on his
side and was holding his shoulder.

Shampoo stood up and looked down at Ranma.  He was clutching his arm
hard.  She started to reach down to him, but she pulled back as she
saw him reel in pain.   Her heart went out to him, and her hate
extended to Ko di Shina as she turned toward him.

"I not know who you are, but Shampoo can fight for her own self."

"I came here to find you, not fight you.  I will not do it."

"I beat you for Ranma then."

"I hate that you don't remember me.   You told me that you would
always be there for me.  We are suppose to be on each other side for
all times."

"You lie!  Shampoo only love Ranma.  I not tell you those things."

Ko di Shina stepped out of the crater.  Shampoo was in her stance and
preparing to charge.  Ko di Shina had not looked up at her yet.  She
began to run in at him.  Yet he still had his head aimed down.
Shampoo was just about to make contact with him, when he lifted his
head.  However, she was surprised when she saw his face.   He had a
single tear in his left eye.  It rolled out and streamed down the
front of his face.  Shampoo stopped in front of him.  She felt this
unusual familiarity with this image.  Her hand began to reach up
toward his face, but she halted it as she heard the sounds of
footsteps racing toward them.

"SHAMPOO, get away from him!"

"Grandmother?"

Ko di Shina looked toward the group of people that was coming from
down the road.  He knew that he didn't have much time to react, so he
quickly grabbed one of the bags that was hanging from his belt and
poured it's powdered contents into his hand.  Just as Shampoo turned
back toward him, he blew the powder into her face.  She inhaled the
particles and fell unconscious.  Ko di Shina caught her, and lifted
her into his arms.  He looked back to the people that had just came
up.  Cologne stood before them.

"You can not take her from me."

"Haven't you and your laws caused us enough hardships?!  I'll be
taking Shampoo now.  There is someone that is dying to see her.  But
you wouldn't care about that� would you?"

Ko di Shina turned around and jumped onto a nearby rooftop.  He looked
back and then began to make his way to his destination.  Cologne was
about to persue him, but she stopped when she saw Ranma getting up.

"Future son-in-law, you must get Shampoo back."

Ranma looked back at her and then toward the direction that Ko di
Shina had gone.  He rubbed his shoulder and gritted his teeth as a
jolt of pain shot through is arm.

"Oh, this isn't over by a long shot!"

Who is this Ko di Shina?  What is this relationship that he claims to
have with Shampoo?  Where and who is she taking her to?
