This story is on the basis of Shin Memai Tensei. The whole death
saving hero bit, atmosphere, devil summoning program, and over all

contains massive demonic themes and clashing religions of a very evil

                    Who is the devil summoner? Part: 4


    Was I dreaming? No, it was not a dream, it was reality. A dark
reality where only hatred and evil lurks, waiting. I met a girl name
Andrea, an odd girl, rather annoying. But she�s dead
now. Her heart pulled out and devoured it whole, by a demon named Mr.
Relfren. This is a dark time indeed.
    And I died as well only to be brought back again from death, but now
death is coming upon me. Death said I can only live until I complete my
mission, my job. Then death. To heaven or hell I don�t care, but I
wanted revenge. Dying once was enough, but twice was going too far.
    I am now in the resistence cell against the demons now that the
portal is open. Thousands poured through, destroying everything. But
maybe there is a different battle here. Very different.
    Tsumi said that to defy the demon lord, Megami, was to go against
all religion. The whole world was now a faith known as Torgon. So to
defy the demons is to defy our religion, maybe. One man once said that a
demon was held at bay with a cross, from an old religion called
Christianity. Maybe this battle is conflicting religions instead of a
physical battle. Could we all be devil worshipers and not even know it?
An evil thought.
    But I must go back to Matthew now. Duty awaits and maybe an answer.

    Matthew looked around the broken school, their last post. Fallen
bookshelves and broken desks littered the room. The chalk board at the
front of the room was cracked in half and had
bullet holes through it. This room was a mess, as was the world. Weeks
and weeks of fighting demons had gotten to him and the rest of the
resistence.
    He looked at his handgun, stolen from the police station. Well it�s
not as much stealing since they�re all dead. Every last policeman dead.
    Then a knock came at the door, he was here. A man in all black
walked through the door. Wearing a long black trench coat and black
glasses he tried to flick on the light switch. He then ran his hand
through his long hair and his beard. �They cut of the power?�
    Matthew nodded. �Yeah, they did. No need to send more men there.
They�ve cut it off eight times. So did you bring him Andrew?�
    Andrew nodded moving aside to let another guy in. This guy was
dressed in all white. He wore a white te-shirt and a white pair of
jeans. He had short blond hair and stood a little taller
then Matthew. �Eric at your service. Did you free me for the truth?�
    Matthew frowned. �Yes. They admitted you to the mental institution
for all your babel about demons. But it seems you�re true about that. So
I want you to tell me about the place
where they come from and how to stop them. I need to know if you do.�  ]

    Eric agreed. �True enough. I am not insane. You are the leader of
the resistence, so I shall tell.� Eric paused for a second then
continued. �Could you please leave us Andrew?�
    Andrew looked at Matthew and Matthew nodded. So Andrew left, closing
the door behind him. �So now begin.�
    Matthew pulled up a chair and sat down, soon followed by Eric. �So
what do you want to know?�
    �Tell me about the demons, everything you know.�
    �The demons come from their own world, the dark world. It is a world
of nothing, a world of darkness and evil. A world where Pandora�s box
was opened and never closed. In that world all was destroyed by this and
life twisted to dark forms of hatred.�
    �So how do we defeat them?�
    �Close Pandora�s box. Close it and all demons shall vanish.
Everything including their world will be sucked into it and forever
locked in it until someone opens it.�
    �Where is it?�
    �In the center of the dark world. It is the heart of the dark world.
Go there and you shall find it.�
    �What happened to Pandora?�
    �Dead, executed by the angel high council, soon after the box was
closed in our universe. After that the box disappeared to the angel�s
knowledge. But it was taken to the dark world where Megami opened it.�
    �Megami! Tell me about Megami.�
    �Megami is the Goddess of all the demons. She is called the savior
of the demons but in our turns she damned them, and herself for the
power of the box. And you�ll get a kick from this, she is the god, or
goddess if you wish, of the Torgon religion.�
    Matthew nodded to that. He understood it now. It was the truth and
he could not change it. Best to accept it rather then fight the truth.
�About the angels, why don�t they help us?�
    Eric shook his head. �They won�t. They turned their backs on the
demons after the Pandora incident. Don�t ask me why, I don�t know.�
    Matthew nodded. �So we move then.�
    �What do you mean, we?�
    �Me, Andrew and you will move into the dark world to close Pandora�s
box.�
    �I want no part in this. Just let me go now.� Matthew pointed his
handgun at Eric. �No, you will go, with us. We need a guide and frankly
you are the best qualified. Now you come quietly or I will shoot you
down. Got it.�
    Eric nodded. �Fine. And I promise I won�t leave you. But I want to
be let go after this. Okay?�
    Matthew put the gun away. �Agreed, we leave tomorrow. Go tell
Andrew.�
    Eric nodded then went towards the door. �But one thing. If I�m taken
by the demons, kill me. Kill any one of us, because I will kill you if
they take you over.� Then he left.
    Matthew frowned and then went to sleep.

    He was again in the place of swirling darkness and voices echoed.
�The decoy has worked. The true one has shown up.�
     �Yes, he has come to save us all. Yes him, give it to him. Give him
the talisman, give it to him, or die!�
    Then he awoke.

    Moving through the school halls and down stairs he reached the exit
to the outside world. Where he walked through it to reveal a broken
city.
    Houses burning and falling apart. Wreaked business buildings and
streets. Cars on fire and dead bodies everywhere. Though without skin,
or blood or anything but bone. Demons eat people. A sick reality. But
now reality was distorted and terrible screwed up. But he was the devil
summoner and he had a job to complete.
    Looking up at the red sky with black clouds moving above him. Almost
like the smoke that rose from the city it was a shame. Such difference
from the city he knew. He wondered whether the whole world was
experiencing this.
    Then he heard the door behind him open and shut. The two had
arrived. �We move to Calrom software.� They all agreed so they left for
the place where the portal began, and where it would end.
