Finally!! Another chapter of a Fic that has really grown on me of late!
Thank you; it's very gratifying to hear someone say something like that.
The spelling and grammer, as usuall, are as
perfect as found in any gaming suplement. (HEH!)
Hey! Who said you could read my website? <grin>
Its a shame that this has to be back burnered to
paying work, but then again, such is life. Kinda hard to work on your
computer when the electric company pulls the plug, no?
<chuckle>
Well, actually, it's not to pay the utilities, but to buy a new house. And
also because I like doing it!
About the only thing that
doesnt feel right is all through the first 3 chapters, LT and Lisa have been
very tight, yet in this chapter they don't interact at all... even BEFORE
Lisa makes the connection between LT and Doug. And for no apparent reason.
Hmmm. It does seem like they're a little short-changed on this front, but it
was intentional, given the focus I wanted for the chapter. Trust me, in
chapters 5 and 6 you will see a lot of Doug-Lisa interaction.
A minor concern a best, I suppose, since the general Angst on Lisa's part
over should she / shouldnt she tell the other Sabres what she knows about
Doug is probobly going to pop up in chapters 5 or 6.
Well, yes, that too.
I do feel that adding a
small scene or two with Doug asking Lisa out and Lisa pleading overwhelming
workload would make this lack of interaction more believable.
<nod> It's a thought. I'll have to find the right place for it.
On the other hand is the bit about the encryption circits. I guess its just
me, but somehow I thought that while Doug had added the better encryption
scheme, it wasn't active yet, sort of an unactivated undocumented feature. I
wasn't even to comfortable with Nene poking around with it at first, then I
realized that it falls under part of her combat duties as commo expert. I
It also is partly necessary for a development or two in chapter, um, 5, I think.
also had the impression that the scheme was pretty much hard coded into the
set, not software,
Firmware. ROM-based software basically.
which then makes me wonder how Nene got the schema to try
and crack it in the first place.
One of the points of congruence between his universe and the BGC world. The
algorithm Doug uses is a descendent of one that had no descendants in the
BGC timeline, and is closely enough related to it that Nene can use the
"ancestor" as a Rosetta stone to give her enough clues to crack it.
In the meantime, I personally hope that your able to get your paying projects
done soon... I for one will be waiting quite impatiently for chapter 5
Judging from my mail, you're not the only one...
Thanks much for your comments.
