C & C welcomed.

     Okay, you asked for it!

That, I did :P

<snipped some of the extraneous comments>

"You coddle them. Trunks should have been off on
his own years ago.
Bra should be married to a strong warrior by now."

What, who do you suggest? Goten? That's about the
only qualified guy, unless Ranma becomes phenominally
stronger.

Heh, let Bra marry a son by that low class warrior kakarotto? ^_^

even more stupid
a thought. When he was younger, being anything less >than the best
was
enough to send his blood boiling. Now, he was happy >with a simply
gain
on his quest to 'catch up'.

Because until the last chapter, Goku, Gohan, and
Buu could kick his butt. Ever since he switched side
at Planet Namek, he just can't be the champion.

He's caught up at least twice after that :P *the first time he became
SSJ and the first time he went into and out of the Room of Spirit and
Time*

"What?" Bulma asked, giggling like a school >girl as his nose
tickled
her. He would always answer that question the same >way. His answers
were often frustrating: Sex, bear my children, you >have wealth and
power, you were the closest... Bulma's ire grew as >she remembered
the
past reasons her husband gave her.

     "Often"? Try always.

Nah, his answers are straight forward, just how you choose to interpret
them.

       "I... you."

Bulma blinked. "What did you say, Vejita?" >She couldn't
make out the
word between the 'I' and 'you'. Did he say it? All >she got back
from
her husband was a grunt as he excused himself from the >table to go
looking for Trunks, leaving her there with a look of >bewilderment on
her
face.

What do you know, it MIGHT be Oolong after all.

That's probably what's going on in Bulma's mind.

"Hey," Ranma said after noticing Trunks >entering the room.
He
carefully put the dumbbells down. Everything he did >had to be done
carefully as even the smallest error could pull his >arm from its
socket. He couldn't even contemplate how Vejita and >the others could
work out at four hundred times the force of gravity.

You gotta be a Saiyajin. Enough said.

Human body would crumble, yeah.

"Hey. You mind if I use this room to train? >Pan and Bra are
using
one
of the two rooms I just had installed and the other >one is on the
fritz."

Trunks is being very polite considering his envy
toward Ranma.

Trunks isn't a very violent person. He's grown up in a similar
environment as the other half-Saiyajins and has similar manners.
Another thing I believe about the GT *Bleh* universe is his personality.

"Never ever seen a human rise as fast as you," >Trunks said,
starting
the conversation. Just what was it about this human >that made his
father take notice? Trunks couldn't believe it was >power since as
impressive as Ranma was for a human, he just wasn't >all that
impressive
when you looked at the people his father associated >with.

But he ought to be at least as good as Marron
by now.

Marron isn't very good in this universe, having been spoiled by her
father. Their family is rich after all because of No. 18.

"M-My dad said something about me?" Trunks >asked, not sure if
he could
believe it.

Ranma: Yeah, about how you are such an ingrateful
snot who ignores tradition, does not devote yourself
to art, etc...

I think Ranma has enough sense to not say *that*.

Ranma hated the
grating voice telling him of how even a person like >Trunks, who had
not
fought seriously for almost ten years, could beat him >in three
seconds
flat.

But if Ranma trained in gravity room for about
three years (which is how long he's supposed to train
under Vegeta), he can probably beat Trunks in his
normal form.

That's only assuming Trunks doesn't surpass his current SSJ form.

"Maybe," Trunks replied. His thinking however >was the
opposite of
Ranma. Trunks could still remember when he had told >his father that
he
wanted to do other things in life other than fight. >His father
argued
with him but in the end he got his way and his father >never trained
him
again. *Why didn't you stop me, Dad? I would have if >you did.
You're
the lucky one, Ranma. Your father cared enough about >what he wanted
of
you.* "Then again, maybe not."

I bet he would change his tune if he knew about
multiple engagements.

Hey, these guys could actually be normal boys with normal urges :P
Ranma isn't exactly you're typical boy.

Ranma felt suddenly uncomfortable as a long >silence enveloped
the two
of them. "Say, you want to spar? I need to get rid >of some of the
kinks I have that the workout couldn't take care of."

Trunks looked over at the grinning human. An >image of his
father
superimposed itself over Ranma's face. Trunks shook >his head to
clear
the illusion. That grin is almost identical to Dad's. > A grin
appeared
on Trunks face that mirrored Ranma's and his father's >exactly.
"Sure."

When you think about it, Ranma and Vegeta DO
have similar grins...

Ranma can most likely beat Cologne with both arms
tied behind his back by now, but still isn't ready to
face a Saiyajin... His power level is around 30000 now,
if I was to estimate.

No idea how I would rate his power level. In comparison I would say he
is past Nappa and close to Vejita's first appearance level by now.

Ranma deliberately walked slowly to the door. > Vejita's
intimidation
had not diminished a bit since Ranma had first met >him. It increased
if
that was believable, but that had strangely made Ranma >more
determined
not to let his fear show. He nearly succeeded before >Vejita's scowl
deepened and his legs involuntarily moved faster. *I >just need a
breath
of fresh air,* Ranma thought quickly to himself.

Hahaha, he's gonna get hurt one of these days.

He already has in the manga. Many times :P

"It's one thing to decide you want to do >something else, but
quite
another thing to give it up entirely. No son of mine >will be like
that
bookworm Gohan."

He's ignoring the fact that Gohan is still the
strongest character. Just like him, isn't it?

Heh, Goku, I would say is close to Gohan by now. Only all of Gohan's
potential energy at sixteen was released. Had, Gohan actually trained
since then, his potential energy should be even greater by now. Still,
can't beat a guy whose normal form is as powerful as SSJ 2 :P

It was not so
much as wounded pride rather than regret, Trunk knew. > Regret at
never
having fought the person that could have been the >strongest ever
known
had he tried.

Why not? All he needs to do is threaten Chi-chi
and boom, Gohan will be pummeling him.

Vejita was mellow enough at the end of the Buu saga, he's practically a
marshmellow now. Well a charred and blackened marshmellow.

"Um, you missed dinner. I know how much you >like to eat, so
I
wondered
if you want to go out and get something to eat."

"Food? Hey, sure. Now that you mention it, I >am feeling
hungry.
Just
let me get dressed and we'll be off."

Wow, she already knows how to snare him. This
can't be good.

She only has to look at the men around her for examples.

       <<Hello, Son residence, Pan speaking.>>

I wonder why everyone assumes Son is Goku's
family name... Come to think of it, no character in
DB has a last name.

I've seen the series in Chinese. They do use Son as Goku's last name.

Pan was in heaven as she ate another bowl of >ice cream.
*Finally, a
date where I can eat decently for once.* She >remembered the horrors
of
the previous dates where she had to go through, >starving but feared
eating anything large lest her Saiyajin heritage rear >it's ugly head.

Once she got eating, she just couldn't stop and this >tended to make
for
very messing evenings.

So eat before going on a date. Simple.

Heh, unless she wants to go out on dates with a stomach bursting with
food, not many Saiyajins can withstand being in a restaurant with a
table full of food even if the ate moderately before hand.

Goku slept blissfully unaware of what was >happening outside
the
regenerating tank.

     Ahh, the same old idiot.

Heh, even if he know what was happening he would still sleep just as
soundly :P

                       * * * * *

The End. (maybe)

Upcoming fics:

Lesbian 1/2 Chapter 6

Another Time, Same Place side story and Chapter 8

First Knight Chapter 4

Hey! Where's Dragon Ball 1/2 chapter 7?! Oh well.

Heh, have to clear away some of the ideas I have first. Next chapter
should be out in a month's time. (maybe)

Thanks for the C&C.

As always, highly enjoyable. Keep writing!
