The Evangelion cast sat in a room. It was a dark room, but there were
spotlights on each person, kinda like the final two episodes, but not as
weird, and everyone could see and respond to what the others said. There was
also an anonymous person going around, asking them questions, kinda like the
final two episodes, but weirder.
"Shinji."
"Yes?"
"Why did this happen?"
"What do you mean?"
"Neon Genesis Evangelion. Why did it become so dark?"
Misato answered the question. "Second Impact. If it weren't for that
expedition, the world would have a chance at happiness."
The voice spoke again. "Everything was just bright and happy until Bardiel
came, but things could have returned to normal."
This time, Gendo spoke up. "It would not matter. Second Impact, my wife's
death, Naoko's suicide. The past year would have been doomed to darkness no
matter what."
The entity seemed angry this time. "No! Something could have been done!
Touji could have done something!"
Touji walked up and scowled. "What could I have done? I was helpless."
"You could have tried being more positive."
"How could I be positive? There was nothing left to be positive about!"
The figure named a cast member.
"Excuse me?"
"Him. If the plot was centered around him for a few episodes, it wouldn't
have to get depressing."
"I'd like to see you try it!"
"Alright. By the way, I'm gonna take your sister out of the storyline.
She's useless."
Touji's eyes narrowed.

The author fell to the floor, groaning. "Alright," he said with a pained
voice. "She can stay. Here it comes!" The room grew brighter until
everything was bathed in light. It started dimming, then a scene began to
unfold. EVA-03 had its hands around EVA-01's throat. Touji was staring in
horror at what was happening to his friend. Shinji was gasping for air.
Ikari Gendo watched the scene calmly. It seemed that Shinji would not be
willing to strike at the Angel, even to save his own life. It seemed that
more force would be necessary. Unfortunately, the Dummy Plug wasn't ready.
"Deploy Evangelion unit 4.5"
Back at the fight, Shinji was nearly dead, and Touji would soon have
memories that would give him nightmares for the rest of his life. That is,
if another force hadn't intervened. Loud crashes were heard in the distance,
and Bardiel turned around, taking its attention off Unit 01. Unit 4.5 was
black and white, and had a horn. It lowered its head, and charged, goring
the Angel. It quickly ripped the entry plug out, tossing it onto a hill.
Everything was still. Shinji looked at the Angel. He looked at the ejected
entry plug. He looked at the Angel. He looked at the entry plug. Then he
looked pissed. Bardiel was now faced with two Evangelions, one with a pilot
ready to avenge whatever damage may have been caused to the pilot of unit
04, the other with a pilot itching for his first victory.

Later, Misato was talking to Shinji and Touji at the apartment.
Misato smiled. "Shinji, Touji, We're lucky. If your entry plug hadn't been
ejected, all three of you would have died."
"Who's the third? I thought there was only one new pilot."
She frowned slightly at this. "I don't know. I thought so too."
"Well, who should we ask?"
Gendo came into the room.
"Shinji, meet the pilot of Evangelion Unit 4.5."
The door opened slightly. All attention was focused in that direction. The
door opened completly. A short figure walked through. Everyone but Gendo
stared at the new pilot.
"PEN-PEN????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
NEON GENESIS PENPENGELION
Somebody take this idea. Unlike Aa! Megumi-sama!, I have no idea what to do
with this. Just give me credit.
